Utopia Crafts Velvet Lux Chenille Super Soft Chunky Yarn for Knitting and Crochet, 100g - 110m (Pink Swan)

I’ve been using this specific yarn for the past 2 nearly 3 years ever since I started crocheting, and I cannot recommend it enough. I usually use a 6mm hook for it and everything always comes out looking perfect!The texture is so soft and comfy. I use this for mainly stuffed toys but it can definitely be used for blankets or pillows. The colour variety is incredible, it’s got pretty much all the colours for anything you need!The thickness is perfect for small-medium crochet amigurumi projects which is what I usually do, but I do definitely see this being good for large protects too, depends on personal preferences really.The value for money is worth it, it’s cheaper than chenille yarn you find in the shops and the quality is even better.To wash it, washing machine or done by hand is completely fine.I definitely give it a 10/10 for ‘Crochetablity’

I have been trying to find true chenille yarn that is a decent density. This fits the bill. Like true chenille is is a string centre with the chenille (fluff) over it, so yes it will come away at cut ends. Also yes if you pull too hard will snap, I only found this when tightening a magic ring if not careful. I had to undo many stiches and found no clumping of the chenille so was able to reuse yarn, other brands I cannot do the with at all. I used a 5.5mm hook for photo, you can see no gaps. Would happily buy again, in fact waiting for light grey to come into stock again.

Pros: soft, lovely colours, easy to crochet. Works great for amigurumi. Reasonable price. Cons: It can be a bit tricky to unravel if you make a mistake in your work because if you try to tug on it too much, it tends to break. Finished item seems sturdy enough though. After working with this for a few days, I have noticed that it tends to shed quite a bit. I wouldn’t use it for clothing or something that is used constantly.

Lovely quality yarn. Very easy to use. Nice and soft on the hands and glides very well.

This was originally a 5 star review. But once I got to the end of my pumkin, I had to change it. Yes it's an absolutely beautiful yarn, crochets so easily, not too thick and slides on the crochet hook so smoothly. It's also SOOOO soft! I could make a whole blanket out of this stuff. Unfortunately, the problem is it breaks SO EASY, it came to sewing the end of my pumpkin and 🎉 POP, like a little thing of confetti, orange yarn went everywhere and it snapped, and every single time I put a small amount of tension on, POP again. I am super disappointed because the yarn is so lovely, but it is basically yarn on a piece of thread. I had to use a different colour and yarn to sew up my pumpkin. Please see pictures attached for reference. If it was thicker in the middle it would be perfect. Unfortunately it isn't :(

Our granddaughter was delighted with this yarn. She has just started to crochet and the beanie she made was fantastic. Excellent vale for money.

Fantastic wool, my only complaint is that I now need more wool to finish my blanket I’m making and it’s been out of stock for 5 weeks so far.

The darker colour is really nice to work with but this lighter one keeps breaking off like the fluffy comes away if you are not careful when you work with it.truly soft and lovely colours
