This kit is excellent, only improvement you could do is "increase" the volume on the volume control switch.

I purchased 2 clock sets to replace in clocks I have. After installing per instructions & reinstalling several times I realized these parts (2 different sets) were not going to work. The time & chimes were off by 10 minutes on each set. It is very hard to correspond with seller & after many messages I am getting a refund but I have to pay postage to return defective parts. I suggest spending the extra money & purchasing better quality parts

Replaced mechanism in my clock.

Does not keep proper time. Chime sounds when it wants to. Get it set so it chimes at the proper time. By the next day, it is way off. Waste of money.

The media could not be loaded. I liked the fact that there is a real speaker with this kit, not just a beeper like for those chime boxes with just single tones. The directions aren't very clear though. What works best in synching the clock with the chimes is to first leave the hands off the shaft, then turn the clock hands forward slowly until you hear a distinct springy sounding click. Then put the batteries in the chime box and push the set button. This will set the chime time for 6 am. Then put the chime selector in position 4 for bim bam and set the hands for the actual time. But the clock will not chime between 10 pm and 6 am. You must pause after each hour and let it chime for each hour, so it's best to minimze this with bim bam. If you are attaching a pendulum, like to a grandfather or schoolhouse type clock, your pendulum bob may soon be knocking the insides of your clock case. You then cut two small squares of pressure sensitive double stick tape and create limit bumpers at the bottom of the rear of the clock movement to limit the pendulum travel arc. Do not tape them to the actual bottom underneath the movement though, I couldn't get the pendulum to stay in motion when I tried that. Also, you get a better tone if you enclose the tiny speaker in a can of some kind. One drawback is that after the hour chimes, the bells just cut off, the echo desn't fade out naturally.
