Excellent guitar!
Over the years I have played a lot of electric and acoustic guitars; some good and some not so good, and of them all this one I rate as one of the very best; which makes it the best acoustic I have.It not only looks excellent but plays and sounds brilliant, with such a large variety of sounds. From ballad and blues to rock n' roll sound (if you can truly play anything that sounds like that on an acoustic). It is a really, really good guitar in both sound and quality.

Wonderful Guitar
I already have this model in Sunburst Tobacco ,but simply had to get the black model too . How do they make such an excellent guitars for the price ? I have a large collection of Fenders , Gibson's and even a Hand crafted Waghorn (Waghorn guitars Bristol) ,but for the price you won't get a better guitar than this . Beautifully made , great tone , nice to play (no set up required )I regularly gig both guitars or use them as a standby on stage .Can't recommend these guitars enough !

A fantastic guitar!
This is an excellent guitar, its tone and action are way above its price. The double pick up with fade gives this a real variety of sounds. The look is also fantastic . If you are looking for a guitar with absolute quality and looks this is the one. Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics plays the original Gibson version, but that's £2k and doesn't have the cutaway.

A real beauty
Guitar arrived well packaged and I just could not wait to get it out of the box. It arrived at work and I could not resist but to open it and to show my colleagues and they all went WOW. In my opinion this guitar is really beautiful. The guitar has a eSonic 2 preamp with a built-in tuner and the tuner is excellent with the guitar being tuned and ready to play in very little time and the tuning was accurate. The acoustic tone is very warm and relaxing with no abnormal sounds, only clear and crisp melodies. The guitar is beautifully made and the joints are solid. The tuning heads are Grover (which are real quality heads) and these are formed in a yellow metal that naturally compliment the head stock which then flows seemlessly into the fret board with the classic inlays which in turn glides into the guitar body. The top of the fret board has fret dots so you can easily find your way up and down the fret as you play. I have yet to play this guitar through an amp but I have no doubt that this beauty will live up to its name time and time again. The guitar has a lifetime limited warranty and the eSonice2 preamp has a 5 year unlimited warranty. The guitar and the preamp warranty have to be registered separartely. It is also worth noting that the Grover tuning heads have a lifetime warranty. I was considering a higher end guitar but now I have this one, well it certainly meets and exceeds my requirements and at a fraction of the price The guitar does not come with a gig bag but hey this baby deserves to be kept out on display or transported in a hard shellcase as it deserves respect. In fact I have enjoyed playing it so much I have had trouble putting it down to write this review. Overall rating - Well I am not bothered about the lack of a free gig bag (save that one for the cheaper guitars out there) I just love the quality that this guitar offers and I am sure you will too.

Very Disappointing
I have tried three of these and every one had issues with the electronics. Quite plainly; the pickup and the preamp sucks in these. One had a faulty pickup, the others sounded way too boomy and distorted, which rendered the guitars unusable. After looking on Epiphone threads, I found that this is a well known and common problem. It's surprising that Epiphone would allow this to continue without addressing the matter. I should have known this would be the case. I had previously purchased an Epi AJ with a Shadow preamp/pickup, and I had to change it out for something that sounded good. In this case I purchased a cheap preamp/piezo + condenser mic from China, and amazingly it worked great. I still have that guitar and it sounds fine now, but that one was boomy and unusable as well. Anyway, there are much better guitars available that have much better elctronics, if that is what you need. Any decent acoustic with a Fishman system would be far better than one of these.

Good value for money
IT's a nice and good looking guitar, solid and seems well built for the price. The unplugged sound is not good, but on an Amp it's where it shines - I use it on an Ampeg bass amp and the sound is full and rich.

I was delighted with this guitar
I was delighted with this guitar. It has a wonderful tone played acoustically and has plenty of volume. Played through amp and speakers it is even better.Unfortunately, the instrument I received exhibited a problem with its electronics. Something is causing the batteries to drain rapidly. Within a couple of hours when only using the electrics for checking the tuning, which by the way is an excellent feature if working correctly, the red warning light came on indicating that the batteries were low and needed replacing.I informed Amazon of this fault, and they agreed to replace the instrument, but for reasons of my own, I have decided to keep it as I rarely play it through amps and am prepared to put up with the battery drain if I do use it, carrying spare batteries for such occasions.

Lovely Guitar, but Faulty
Looked stunning, sounded great acoustically, but unfortunately the pick-up output did not work.Sadly had to return this one.
