I can't get more than 640X480 on this product? I use it on Mac with quicktime...there are no instructions hoe to get it working

I have Windows 10 and it works fine.

how is this 2mp when its only 640x480 pixels, thats 0.3 megag pixels. returning.

This Digital microscope arrived well packaged, the day after purchasing as promised. It is nicely presented in retail quality packaging making it ideal as a gift and giving you a good first impression of the product inside.The microscope has a solid build and seems very sturdy and durable. The instructions leave a little to be desired but I was able to work out how to use it as it is quite straight forward and the software is simple to understand. The software installed no problem using windows 10 and windows 8 (My PC and my laptop).There are 8 LEDs around the end of the scope which give a very bright light to enable you to get the best picture quality up close. You can reduce the brightness using the wheel on the cable. There is a zoom and snap button on the side of the scope and this takes fantastic quality photos, the zoom can be a little temperamental at time and shakes the picture quite a bit but once still it is fine.The microscope requires a little assembly but this was no hassle and took around 5 minutes to complete and collaboration was simple with the provided card as a guide. You also receive a USB to micro USB adaptor cable which allows you to use it with your smartphone if your phone is compatible.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality, design and performance of this Digital microscope. I would highly recommend it to others and would definitely purchase it again myself.When writing a review I try to consider what I would like to know before purchasing an item online and this is what I base my reviews on. The GVESS 1000X 8 LED 2MP USB Digital Microscope was sent quickly and was well packed and I found it easy to assemble. The driver for the camera installed straight away, but I am having problems installing the measurement tool software. Also there are no written instructions with the microscope and the user manual will not download from the cd rom, so using the microscope has been very much trial and error.The 8 leds are very bright and can be adjusted using the switch on the cable. On one side of the microscope is a button for the digital zoom and on the other side is the camera button. On the front is a rotary switch for adjusting the focus.It is very basic but good value for the price, simple to use and ideal as a first microscope. I am sure children would be fascinated with it.I have attached some photos of a leaf, a fly and a tiny creature in some pond water that was just a speck to the naked eye.I received this item at a reduced price in return for an honest and unbiased review.

This GVESS 1000X 8 LED 2MP USB Digital Microscope arrives direct from Amazon in one of their brown cardboard boxes. It is packaged in a white box that contains several components. I was selected to receive this at a discount for writing a review; the normal price from Amazon is £19.The microscope needs to be assembled and it is a little bit fiddly to get together. The main article is the scope. It is similar to a LED torch that plugs into a USB socket – or for some phones, into a micro USB socket. My phone is not of that type so I cannot comment on anything other than using on my laptop. I installed the software from the small disc and had no issues at all. (windows 10). The application is quite basic in its design but it is easy to switch to the USB device rather than the built in camera on my laptop. The microscope gives a good picture on the screen showing astonishing detail from the things I have looked at. I could see the fabric of the dress I am wearing as knotted threads and my skin! Do not look at your chin if you are female. You will be fearing a beard by dawn.The instructions for assembly are not for this model and I have not worked out how to dim the lights (there are 8 LEDs) and they are sometimes too bright. There is no switch on the scope that I can see. There is a zoom and snap button on the scope but they do not seem functional. There are no instructions or a link to a pdf so there is a lot of guesswork for someone not familiar with this type of device. The picture on the Amazon sale page is an accurate representation of what you will receive.
