What can I say except I can’t get enough of her books. As with all books with the same characters, some are more enjoyable than others. I read all 18 in the first months of ‘23 and felt a great loss when I finished them. These books have the most marvellous characters, set in the (almost) wilderness of Canada. They are more mystery than up front crime and they kept me enthralled. There are so many gems within the pages, a bit of history, art, philosophy. Just wonderful. One day I think I might read them all again.

Louise Penny never disappoints. Though most of her Gamache series are set in Three Pines, All the Devils are Here is set in Paris. Because Penny is familiar with Paris and loves it so much, that affection seeps through every sentence. I really enjoyed it. Waiting for her next one, due in the fall of2024.

Not sure what I am going to do waiting for issue 19's release in October. What will Armand and Jean-Guy be up to next? Will there be a book 20, 21, 22 .... ? I sure hope so. Great character development. Makes you feel like you're right there. Read them all and watch "Three Pines" on Amazon Prime.
