Worth every penny, especially for us big kids.
I bought these about 4 or 5 years ago now and I'm kind of a big kid, but I also bought them for my girlfriend's kids yo play with when they come over, and these things work great. They're fun. I like the fact that the guns are color coded, you can set up teams based on the color codes, and they actually transmit and receive from a long distance. I think we clocked in at a couple of hundred feet away which is not bad. It's got team up options, one-on-one, you can select different weapon types and it's got sounds and lights that keep the score going. I also bought the case I recommend that to store them. But it's a fun laser tag system that you don't have to spend an arm and a leg on all the kids I've played with, with these love them couple of them with some walkie-talkies, and you've got some Black Op stuff going.

Kids loved it, great customer service
When I ordered this the expected delivery date was after Christmas, which wasn't a huge issue as it wasn't going to be a gift. I was hoping that it would arrive before Christmas so the grandkids could play on Christmas Day.It arrived on the 24th, very pleased.I put all the devices on the charger and the kids had a great time. A couple of days after one of the guns said "low battery" I put it on the charger a couple of times but it wouldn't charge. Contacted ArmoGear via email, they responded quickly. After a couple of emails a replacement was shipped that day, and arrived 2 days later.Very pleased with customer service. The guns are decent quality as are the chest pieces/targets. Using the silencer tubes in close quarters helps game play and makes it a bit more challenging.Putting the devices in the charger I found to be a bit tricky. The instructions were fair. Well written and easily understandable, but not complete enough. At least for someone who's never played laser tag. For instance they say that the red light will glow when charging and turn green when charging in complete. On the charger I got the red light flashed when charging so I wasn't sure if they were charging or that was a fault indicator (it indicates they're charging). There's a reload level under the guns, which the instructions indicate, but not how to reload. Do you pull it down, push it up, or in, or what. You push it up the fraction of an inch it moves to reload. Experienced laser taggers might know this but novices might not.The guns and targets light up bright enough, makes lots of noise, so the kids LOVE them. It's easy to sync guns to targets and select teams. Selecting one of the 40 weapons offered is easy. These are two of the areas where the instructions are good. There are switches to turn a built in flashlight on and off and another that enables/disables the gun being a target. The instructions cover those well.It would be nice if the straps that hold the chest piece on were adjustable. They hang loose on younger or thinner kids. Granted a simple safety pin would solve that issue. The build quality is decent but for the price I'd expect a bit higher. Quality is functional though. The guns and targets look good and the set has many nice features, like different weapons, flashlight and options for targets and teams. The customer service/support help increase the value. The grandkids loved them and I would recommend them and ArmoGear.

Great Fun for Kids, but Be Prepared for Battery Needs
I purchased the ArmoGear Laser Tag Guns - Set of 4 Rechargeable Kids Toys with Vests for Christmas, aiming to provide an engaging activity for my children and their friends. The set has been a hit; the kids thoroughly enjoy the immersive laser tag experience it offers. However, I was surprised to discover that the set requires a significant number of batteries, which was not clearly stated in the product description. Each gun and vest requires 3 AAA batteries, totaling 24 AAA batteries for the entire set. For the price point, I expected either included batteries or a more transparent disclosure of this requirement.Despite this oversight, the product delivers on fun and entertainment. The guns and vests are well-designed, and the gameplay is engaging for kids aged 8 and up. If you’re considering this purchase, I recommend factoring in the additional cost and effort of acquiring multiple AAA batteries to ensure uninterrupted playtime.Overall, while the battery situation was an unexpected inconvenience, the joy and excitement this laser tag set has brought to my children make it a worthwhile purchase.

Bring Laser Tag To Your Own Home
I purchased these as a family gift for Christmas, since over the summer we played laser tag at a pro place while on vacation and the kids loved it.The set does use a lot of batteries, but it's far cheaper than the rechargeable option, and I could see problems with one or two of the units running out of charge during a session, so I went with batteries that can be quickly replaced.Overall these things are a lot of fun! The sensors seem to be fairly accurate, and I agree with those that have said turning off the 'hit' sensor on the gun makes the game a little easier for little ones. That said, with a few basic 'house rules' this set is perfect for a 4 person battle, either teams or free for all! When guns and sensors are set to the same team color (red, green, blue, orange) the gun will not register a hit on the same color, making teams easy to set up. We had to make a rule that the sensors couldn't be turned off or changed from teams (since it's a button press) during a battle, because my son figured out he could switch his, shoot me while I couldn't register a hit on him, and then flip it back. That said, with a few good honor system house rules we had a lot of fun playing this a few times already in the house. Last night the kids teamed up against me and tried to take me on with all the lights out and it was a LOT like a real laser tag arena (with the added bonus of a cat and two dogs 'playing' too). This was a great purchase and I'd recommend it for any family who wants some rainy day fun at home and isn't afraid to have a little running/bumping/jumping going on inside, or any family who has some good space outside with lots of hiding places!
