Q: What does "with leaking holes" mean?

I bought the 12x12 in tray in Sept. It has holes and I suppose you can say they leak but they are clearly part of the design. Rounded edges and nothing sharp on them. I use it in the bathroom and like the holes. Any liquids run out into the sink instead of my stuff sitting in it all day.
