Jesmona Old Fashioned Mint Humbugs 250 g (Pack of 6)

Working abroad certainly has its advantages, but one of the disadvantages is that it's sometimes impossible to indulge sudden nostalgic urges. When a colleague mentioned that it had been years since she'd eaten a humbug, I was overcome with the desire to eat one myself. Many companies do not send food to Austria, but this one did. The only 'problem' was that the humbugs were only sold in multiples of six tins. So I bought six tins, gave a tin to my colleague, kept a couple for myself, and used the rest of them to educate my many international colleagues, who had no idea what a humbug was. Lovely to watch their faces as they crunched the outside and then found the chewy bit on the inside (shouldn't that be an armadillo?). Not a single person was disappointed. These are great humbugs, exactly the right shape, tasting just like they should and in a practical tin, just for the off-chance that you don't manage to finish them in one sitting. Excellent!

I sent for these as I had read a couple of reviews which said they were wonderful, but actually, No they are Not!They are certainly Not like the Old Fashioned Mint Humbugs I used to love, the only similarity is they have the soft chewy middle and the shape is the same - the quality is not that lovely rich quality flavour we used to get - the colour is very light compared to the original ones - which were a Deep Rich Golden colour - which tells me they do not use the same ingredients at all - so here I sit with 6 Tins of Humbugs that are nothing like an Old Fashioned Mint Humbug, and I won't be eating.I Know a Lot of Sweets now-a-days use inferior ingredients compared to yesteryear, but then Don't Call them Old Fashioned Mint Humbugs - Because they are Not!

Struggled to find in shops for a christmas prescent for my husband, looked on amazon just the job only drawback they come in multipack packs not a problem has i have a large family (who loves them) so they all got them in their christmas stocking. A very happy customer who had a quietish christmas whilst everyone was enjoying their humbugs
