Mixed feelings
Wah London’s ‘The Trillest’ polish is sparkly in the bottle although dries to a matte sheen rather than gloss on the nail. Each coat dries quickly so you don’t have to spend too much time on your manicure and it lasts a couple of days before chips mean it needs to be removed. When seen inside, it is a silvery grey and I needed at least two coats before I gained a streak-free finish, sometimes a third. Once outside, the polish becomes much more interesting with holographic colours dancing across nails; it looks interesting and quite pretty. It is an interesting polish when seen out in the sun however the flipside is that the colour is fairly flat when inside, lacks sparkle and is fairly boring. If you spend a lot of time outside it may be for you but as someone that spends most days in an office, it isn’t for me.

Average nail polish
Comes in glass bottle with black top and logo in black on glass bottle. Usual type of brush applicator. Applies quite well and dries reasonably quickly. The colour is lilac. I do prefer the colour of the first coat, which is of course paler, but this varnish requires a second coat and a top coat to give a decent finish. Seems to have different shades with strange names. This is not my favourite type of varnish, I think there are others that are better but I will use it occasionally. Don't think I would buy it again though

Had better
Love my nail polishes, have way too many of them, not that impressed with this one. It didn't go on well, the brush wasn't great and the colour was a little too pinky for my liking. Nail polish also chipped off toes within a few days and as I paint them and leave them for weeks using other brands I have changed it after a week. Took three coats to get the right depth of colour as well.

Fabulous colour
Oh my goshhhh, holographic nail polish! This colour comes in a very slimline, tall pot with a patent black handle. The colour itself is a super sparkly silver that magically changes colour as it hits the light. Imagine those holographic silver notebooks you used to buy as an angsty teenage girl - that's the sorts of colours you'll be seeing. Now, the formula's a bit of a pain, as it takes several coats for any colour to shine through, which is annoying, but actually this would be absolutely astonishing as a topcoat - think purples and greys as your basecoat. As for lasting, it doesn't really have much staying power, but I have to say the colour alone is incredible. Ooh, shiny!

disappointing
This was a disappointing nail varnish. The coverage was patchy, even after the second and a “hail-mary” third coat.I like lilac but for some strange reason I couldn’t take to this.We decided to use it as a base coat and put a clear gloss with red glitter over the top to give it some shine and hopefully take away from the patchiness of the purple coats. It did help but it took an age to do something which normally takes me no more than 10-15 minutes – and the purple first coat took the longest to dry!Without the clear gloss the resulting varnish is dull and uninspiring. I have had lilac varnish before and it was never this bad so I am unsure as to what is wrong.

WAH London Nail Polish
This is a very 'fruits of the forest' yogurty kind of colour, therefore I have absolutely no idea why the shade is called 'mating surfaces', unless it's in reference to the late, great Prince's bedroom decor? The brush is a bit thin for my liking and the formula is rather gloopy. It's also over my price range as the Barry M Gelly colours retail at a much lower price point. Whether it's worth paying the extra amount is subject to the next few days?*Edit - this really chipped. Hmm, that's not great news for this price point so it drops a star*

Disappointing quality
I'm disappointed by this product ... and disappointed to find myself disappointed because I had high hopes for it. The holographic effect is very on-trend at the moment and I was excited to try it out. However, I've found the polish itself to be quite thin and difficult to apply to get good coverage. It seems to take AGES to dry ... maybe this was more pronounced because I needed to do three coats to make it look good. I was pleased with the result after the 3 coats, but found it started to chip the very next day and was all off within 2 days.

Great value, brilliant polish
I've tried this polish on both finger and toenails. Even one coat gives you great and even coverage (although I did three for maximum effect) and it's really long lasting. The colour is a fantastic pale silver and goes with practically everything. Complete value for money!
