You think it's simple, but there are over 250 compounds at work to create a flavor we just can't resist.Gleason wasn't really a musician; he neither read or wrote music. He would "imagine" the music and then describe it to an assistant who would transcribe it. No matter if Jackie didn't have the technical chops to play the instruments or write the notes, under his supervision some really beautiful "mood music" was created in the 50's and 60's.This collection contains ten beautiful remastered songs. I have been a fan of Jackie Gleason since the fifties when I was nice and young and now that I can get the discs of his music which I had on LP vinyl records, it is a pure job for me in my senior years. Christmas came early and I enjoyed all the music and his style to listen in this autumn month and my autumn years. He was the consummate performer, comedian, actor, music lover, and it is pure joy to hear all the old songs come to life again by a true professional and great entertainer. Heaven is really listening to the Great One.

I rated this product with five stars because the music is beautiful. It can play in the background and never interrupt conversation or my train of thought. Unlike music of today, it is soothing and harkens back to a time when music was a thing of beauty. The style is definitely the Gleason Orchestra. While not written or directed by the great comedian, he knew how to bring beautiful music to the public.

This was a gift for Christmas. The gentleman wrote that he remembered the album from the past, so I sent this CD to him. He's very pleased. I have another Gleason CD and it is the sexiest music you'll ever want to hear. Really calming. I'm fortunate I could find this on Amazon.com, just wish the shipping weren't more expensive than the actual article.

I actually wore out my original CD of this selected recordings of Jackie Gleason and kept going back to it and hearing it skip, etc. I had to get a new one - I love the particular selections in this CD.I also have a canary who when he hears this particular CD starts singing like mad!

Great music. Didn't know he had a band until I heard him on Sirius radio. Enjoy instrumental music and that is one good CD.

It was more than I could have thought was on the CD. But I love any of Gleason's music, especially the ones with women's names.I had a LP years ago that only the songs with women's names. I haven't been able to find a CD of it. Thank you.

A lot of people are unaware that Jackie Gleason had an orchestra that was tremendous. He had a trumpet player named Hackett and any time I hear him on the radio, I instantly recognize him. I have most of Gleason's LP'S, but it's hard to find CD's with the songs I really like.
