Perfect shade of pink
My Granddaughter bought a white dress for a 'hen-do' as she couldn't find a pink one she liked. We used the whole bottle of dye in a jam pan with 12 pints of water, some salt and vinegar. It was polyester so we were unsure if it would work. However, it turned out brilliantly to a perfect pastel shade. We washed it in the washing machine and it stayed pink. Would recommend the product. Great job!

pretty good!
i dyed a pair of white shoes. the bottle does say that the dye will be darker when wet, and they ended up more grey than black, but that was ok. i used the whole bottle, it was really easy to use. you might need two or three bottles or something like that if you really really want a pure dark black colour, but idk for sure that will work. I'm gonna include photos of before, directly after dying (when still wet), then after they'd dried (since I painted the soles of the shoes too so took pictures of the process lol). the shoes are like a canvas type material.I will say though that the dye didn't stick to the laces of the shoes at all. When I went to rinse the dye off after with water, like 95% of the dye just came straight off the laces, which did worry me, but luckily this didn't happen with the shoes themselves.

Inconstant results - poor support. Save your money.
I purchased this to put the colour back into one in my daughter’s green hoodies from TopShop. It didn’t work. The instructions for the dye are indecipherable and seem to be made for US washing machines. I found a YouTube video that RIT had sponsored which was also fairly useless and just skipped key steps. If you have a stand-alone machine you may achieve better results. However, having a built-under washing machine makes it virtually impossible to pour in almost two litres of boiling water (4 cups water and salt/ four cups of water and dye) without scalding yourself or covering your cupboard doors/ worktop/ washing machine/ floor with dye (in my case fluorescent green). You need to get this water into the top feed tray before the washing machine finishes the flushing of the powder/ liquid. Also once you’re past 40 years old there’s no chance of you reading the instructions on the bottle which may as well have been printed on microfiche.Basically it has ruined my daughter’s hoodie top (which was a faded lime green to start with). The dye is patchy with dark green areas - a total mess and I subsequently had to purchase a new jogging top to replace it.However, please also note that RIT would like you to purchase a dye fixer (another £10). That’s £20 in total, making it fairly uneconomical considering a replacement hoodie is £35 delivered. And wait for it, some garments may need more than one bottle of dye... bargain! My advice would be to save your money and either tie dye when it’s at the end of its life or just buy new.

Easy to use
I bought this to dye a rug. It was easy to use. I used one bottle but it wasn't enough, I was aware it may not be enough after reading the instructions.Depending what items you want to dye and how much you need it may not be cost effective. In my case my rug was not expensive, it would be cheaper to get another since I'd have to use 3-4 bottles.Having use this and pods from a different brand I have to say this one it's better, easier to use and dyes deeper, so I'd recommend it, just check in advance how much you would need. They have a really good website with all the instructions,I wish I'd have checked before hand

Didn’t work on synthetic stitching
Bought specifically for the synthetic stitching on my cotton dungarees but hasn’t changed in the slightestAlso, this dye (charcoal) is brown based, so as my dungarees were pale yellow and blue, they now look brown/purple.I did the exact same ones with a dylon pod years ago but needed synthetic for the stitching. Pointless 😔

Didn't quite do the job
I bought this products in the hopes that it would help me get rid of some sun stains that our stroller had. It was easy enough to follow the instructions, however, it did absolutely nothing to the color.
