Fun way to learn to write
Cute Montessori toy.Kids have fun with this. Learning to write letters in a fun way instead of just on paper.

Good but messy
Good for kids to trace letters but let’s be real, how long can a kindergartener keep sand n a tiny box, playing with it everyday, even just at school

Cute but messy
Fun product but I wish the container was a different design. It’s not a tight seal so sand gets out through the lid and it’s a huge mess. Fun writing practice for kids!

Better used with supervision
I purchased this in combination with the sandpaper letters to be used in a homeschool setting. They do offer the child the ability to practice the letters over and over again, leading to not only mastering the letters' symbol but to strengthen pincer grasp and motor skills needed for actual writing. Definitely keep a close eye on the child as the sand is very fine and can go all over the place if the little one uses some extra strength to "wipe" the sand.

Good
Great product and idea. Terrible customer service. I received my package with half the sand dumped out leaking everywhere and could not get a response from anyone for replacement sand.

Such an important tool for learning!
My four year old daughter absolutely loves drawing her letters with this. We’ve only had it a couple days and she has absolutely flourished with this. I’m preparing her for kindergarten myself and this has helped keep learning fun! Definitely worth the price.

Wonderful hand to mind activity
We have a 5 y/o that missed the kindergarten cut off by 7 days. They started showing interest in letters and phonetics independently. We introduced this tray as way to allow him to explore that interest. It’s easy to store. My kiddo is pretty good about keeping the sand in the tray. The letter cards are a helpful visual. My kiddo likes to try and create different letter sound combinations and is always thrilled when he can make a real word he knows!
