I teach elementary school and I was looking for shatterproof bulbs that didn’t get hot. These are great! I have only set them up, but I did plug them in for several hours before installing to make sure they don’t get hot. They are not hot at all to the touch and are definitely shatterproof (I think they are plastic). I am really glad I purchased these and would recommend them. I also bought a dimmer switch so that I can control the amount of light, which works great!

Love that the bulbs are replaceable

These would have been much easier to install if the lights had a clip on both sides. Because I installed these on the railing of my deck, it caused problems for me having the clips on the opposite side. I was running the string from right to left, so I had to buy and extra wire to hang the lights from. But they look really nice now that they’re installed

These lights worked great for what I wanted them for. You may have to tighten them in as some of them loosen in the shipping process.

Soft white, yes, I used glass incandescent lights for years, replacing bulbs all the time, these are a perfect replacement, and a soft white/yellowish light, 3 strings at 25 feet each, perfect fit, huge energy saver too, lastly love the plastic bulbs, no more shattering

I want to like these lights so much. They're of the same sort that local restaurants and bars use on their patios for atmosphere, and they look great there. Being plastic, they are also quite durable. But in and around my house, they are too friggin bright! No matter where I hang them, they are super-glarey, almost blinding. My guess is that on a restaurant patio they look ok because the patio is already halfway lit up from the building. But in my back yard, at night, it's nearly pitch black, and these things will blind you. Beware!

These lights were just the right kind that were needed for my deck. The light up the deck just right but not too bright. Very glad I bought these.

These bulbs have seen two Xmas seasons and they still look great. But I noticed when I was taking them down today 3 of the 75 bulbs had water leaked inside. All the bulbs still worked and I hope by next year the water will evaporate out.
