It does straighten the neck muscles but it is as hard as a rock. Need another pillow on top.

I gave this 3 stars because it works great the first few days but the spot where my neck goes isn’t quite high enough- in my personal opinion. But I decided to keep it because it helped stabilize my shoulders when I’m sleeping. I would look for other options to support the neck but it’s good for isolation while sleeping.

Some other reviews mentioned that this pillow was too stiff. In my opinion, it's not like that at all. In fact, I wouldn't mind if it were even a bit stiffer. Either way, the shape is very nice for supporting my neck. I like this shape better than my previous ergonomic pillow, which had the raised edge on both sides, preventing my head from falling back in a natural way. This pillow has the top part lower than the bottom, which is a lot more comfortable. As for the stiffness, it's necessary to provide sufficient support without collapsing under the weight, which is what my previous pillow suffered from due to its age. If you have trouble sleeping and are waking up tired with a sore neck, this is one of the first places I would look.

I bought one recently. After a month or two in use it continues to provide good support - holds up ok, doesn't collapse, bounces back, and in general I'm satisfied.Keep in mind it is a soft foam pillow, though, so probably not great if you are looking for a medium or firm.

Not enough support. I wish they’d stop making neck pillows with memory foam. It squishes down and does not provide good cervical support.
