Just too small to fit on air hose.
Unfortunately the threaded cap has too small a diameter to fit over my air hose on the track pump. I have a fairly standard track pump and the hose is 9.4mm diameter but the largest size the threaded adapter can take is ~ 7.2mm diameter, so it simply will not fit on the hose. You might be able to do without the threaded adapter completely and just try and attach it with a jubilee clip, but it would need to be a very small jubilee clip and I am not sure how well it would work.

Not as universal as was implied
The fitting needs significant adaption to be fitted to the current air hose.It is also much smaller than implied, so clearer dimensions would be good.
