Book review
Another good story in this series. I’m glad that things worked out for Emma and Dex but also finding good friends allowed her to keep her shop

Unsatisfying Ending
I read through this book because I liked the first installment, but it left me with questions. I was hoping this book would provide clarity. What is Fraya’s actual backstory? Was her mom really a bad person? Did she sleep around? Was she in love with Fraya’s Dad and claim to be pregnant if she wasn’t? Did he really care so little about her mom that he never even checked on her or looked back? Was she just a hook up? Did her mom become an alcoholic because she was heartbroken? Did she purposely drive off the bridge?Dex had a list of people he was going to talk to, and his dad was on that list. I want that version of events. Did he really not know about her? Does he feel guilty? Is he going to attempt to reach out? I mean... he did try to forbid Max from being with her.... which was weird because he hadn’t shown any interest prior to that encounter.I just feel like Fraya’s mom deserved a little more backstory. We know she had a thing for sex, Greek mythology and alcohol. There had to have been more. Also, what happens to the characters? Do they get married? Do any of them have children? Is the diner successful? Where did Abbigail go? The first book made her seem like a decent person when Fraya’s wasn’t involved (if I were in her shoes, I would be bitchy too) but in this book she’s just down right evil. Does she mastermind some kind of evil come back? What happens with Max’s dad? I’m going to read paper 3 with hopes of some actual answers. Also, it never explains what happened between Prescott and Jana. I’m the first book, she was in tears because Bathany aborted Rusty’s baby, but in this book Prescott says that on August 1st she aborted his baby and it was all his fault. Obviously they won’t get their own story, but I’m super curious what went down. Maybe book 3 will tell me.The books have been great, they’ve just left me with too many questions. If I had paid for this straight out instead of using KU this probably would’ve had a much lower rating.

Better than the 1st
This 2nd book in the Homecoming series was DEFINITELY better than the 1st. By no means is the 1sy book bad, I just struggled with the "flashback" moments. They overshadowed and dominated the 1st couples story so much I didn't really get to feel invested in them like I wanted to, especially when it was about second chances and moving forward. New, adults, different people then they were as teenagers. The two MC in this book were great. They each had their own thing going on and they blended well together. You feel like they belong together. Individual yet, well balanced with each other. Our girl was a little quick to forgive the second time (or 3rd depending on your pov) but it didn't detract from the story. The ending in this book, much like the 1st, left me unsatisfied. I've never been a fan of stories ending much the way these did. I think it might just be a personal preference for me, I like to see it end bigger.I'll probably read the 3rd book but I have a feeling it will end in that soft sort of way that leaves me going "that's it?!"

Love Dex and Emma!
Well First I want to start by congratulating Claudia in this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G second book. The quotes that Claudia writes throughout the book are phenomenal "Never be afraid to speak what's on your mind". How awesome is that?. When I read The first book in the series "It's Not Home Without You" I felt in love with Dex and Emma's characters and I wanted to know more of their story. Their interactions are super entertaining I was literally laughing so hard in some scenes especially of some thoughts that Emma had in her head. I enjoyed reading how they met and how they got to know each other the first time Dex was in town. Emma is a sweetheart and even though she lacks on self confidence she compensated that with her charismatic personality and goodness that she shows everyone around her. Dex *dirty mouth Dex 🔥*, sexy cop who thought wanted better bigger things in life of what the little town of Sunny Pines were able to offer him. Emma gave Dex a chance when they first met and he took it for granted, now he needs to work extra hard to win Emma's trust back. Would Emma trust Dex with her hearth again? You need to read this book to find out.

The perfect cup of love
When I read my first book by C.Lymari, I was so intrigued by Dex’s character - umm hello sexy cop? Sign up me please. I was also curious as to what lead him and Emma down the path they were at. So I begged and begged and begged... okay so it was just like once 😉 for his story. So y’all are welcome😛Nothing prepared me for the sweetest love story that is Dex and Emma. You fall in love more with the town and it’s people and learn to hate Abbigail even more. Yep thAt is even possible.Dex is the ying to Emma’s yang. The creamer to her coffee and the bullet to her gun ... okay so the last one was a stretch and too soon? They complete each otherBe ready to fall head over heals in love with this couple. And don’t forget Dex is mine...the author says so herself.

Ah!
I love the way they were brought together. Dex & Emma are opposites in the way they present themselves. He is outgoing, confident, & reaching for rhe highest goals. Emma is shy, a spit ball, & hard working, doesn't like to be the center of attention which is impossible in their town.Their first encounter sets it all for their paths to cross no matter the distance because he always manages to come back. She is the reason he keeps coming back and he is an i***t for leaving all those time. For making flase promises. She has had her heart sadden too many times and she can't do it anymore. Dex you anmoyes me but boy are you such a gentleman and loving man when it comes to her. They are meant to be. Dex annoyed me at the end and it has me mad BUT before that I LOVE him and he is perfect for Em's. Lucky him!

Absolutely LOVED this book
I was looking forward to reading Emma and dexters story after the first book. I read this in one sitting. Emma is so shy and sweet Who wouldn't fall on love with her?And dex? (Swoon)What an absolute sweetheart! He was so smitten with Emma and it showed on absolutely everything he did with/for her.The way dex would talk to Emma and the way he treated her had me smiling to myself on several occasions.Would absolutely recommend!

It was beautiful!
I loved this book and it was so sweet and beautiful. The story was amazing and I can't wait to read more. I hope Prescott gets a book of his own as well. Even though people think he is mad, people change and everyone deserves a second chance.

Good follow on from Book 1
Emma was the shy one, with a good heart, Dexter knew she was soneone special and wanted to get to know het, sadly due to another person's interference, their relationship ended before it began. Dexter knew he had his work cut out to convince Emma to give him a chance, Plus he had help from Freya. This was a sweet read

Not what I hoped
I just finished reading the first book yesterday and I really liked it, like I read it in a few hours I didnt wanna put it down. So I thought why not read the next one, these characters intrigued me, but I have to say, as nice as the book was, thats all it was. This whole book was basically a summary of the first book just told from emz and dex side. Not just that but there wasn't really a story line here other than If they would get it together, not really much angst and a very fat reach at a grudge from a first date that yes, I get it stung, but to be but hurt for 2 years and act like he left you when you were never an item was far fetched. Even so, I was into it, but at some point I was like, is Emma going to show any other personality trait other than being shy? Why was everyone describing her as lovely (even though she kinda was) when she seemed to be dismayed through most of her interactions? For me, there was no relationship development for them to suddenly be in love, they just finally had sex and he was all 'this is it, she's mine' I mean OK sure, but then he disappears for weeks and she's still the one to go to him and she just gives it up easier than ever! Like barely an explanation because he's too busy kissing her, it wouldn't of killed him to send a text and say he needs time or something. And then it's over, even the spice felt somewhat summarised. Having said that, I feel like the next one will have more depth, like the first which this one lacked. I also have a theory about Prescotts book (which btw, I can't believe his will come after jess and quincy, no offense but I'm not bothered about them) but still, it may give more insight if I'm right andni need to know, even though the release is still months away.

Great second book
Emma and Dex story was so amazing that I finished it in a few hours. It's funny how life can throw anything at you, both the good and the bad but to have that special person can make it worth living. This story was funny and heartbreaking, cheesy and steamy, I loved it.
