It looks like it’s very well-made for the price point. The steel looks like it is folded like it supposed to be. It looks like it has a full tongue even though I couldn’t disassemble all the way you could see the metal in the handle after I took out the pegs. I am updating this review I was finally able to get the handle off so I updated with two more photos also. At this price you’re not gonna get real stingray skin. And some of the other parts are cheaply produced to keep cost down. I but at least the most important part the blade looks real good. I have not tried to cut anything yet with it but when I get a chance I will and if anything goes wrong I will update review. I believe for this price you can’t go wrong. I would not hesitate at buying another one from this manufacture. Now it’s time to find something that I could cut up or should I say down 😂Well I ordered a different type of this sword. This one I did not have a chance to dismantle but I did have fun running around the yard chopping things down. The sword is very sharp and very good at cutting down 16 foot tall gingers. The sword looks real good and is very functional. I included two Photos of the second sword I Purchased.

I am very satisfied with this Tachi. The honing is beautifully done. And am very happy the katana is forged, not castedI did decided to further sharpen and hone it so i could give it a mild durability test. It passed with flying colors!The sword is easy to disassemble down to the tang for quick and easy maintenance. Make sure you to use an authentic maintence set. Don't half-a** it. It will show on the finish.A friend also has one from Dytes and they used a different oil. Now the finish is cloudy and marred.Be warned. Their forged blades come already quite sharp. I accidentally cut my fingertip when i first recieved mineAlso, love the tsuba (2 black cancer crab claws encircling)Also love the color theme i chose. The red was more vibrant than i expected and the black is a true deep black.The forging process appears to be using a hydraulic hammer. I'm pretty sure that's the common method for most forged katana these days.This is a step on my way to owning a hand-forged Tachi or Odachi.

If your looking for a good quality sword then this isthe place to come! Very nice craft and the blade is well designed and sharp too. In my book it’s a battle ready katana even a great collectors piece as well!

Very well crafted for the price. The red baked finish had a Few flaws in it but you would have to examine closely to find them if you didnt know where they wereAlso the steel is named a few different times in the description but its listed under 2 different types of steel so you really have no way of know for 100% which steel its made from.That being said its a Beautiful sword and i am Very pleased with its construction it dont come as sharp as it could be buy i highly doubt the blade is Too dull to do damage if i were forced to draw it in defense.Over all were it not for the Very minor defect in the Red Baked on color this would earn a perfect 5 stars from me

The sakabato that was sent to me is absolutely beautiful!! The Hammon is perfect! Best reverse blade katana on the market and yes it beats out the $500 movie replica that is also hand forged, but it is only 1095 this is real T10 steel and it cuts through everything like a hot knife in hot butter!!! Everything is extremely tight and no knocks or loose ties. The whole sword is absolutely solid!! Only complaint is when you purchase this they don't take the money right away and it's automated and if you have a card like mine you have to authorize purchases first you have to make sure that clearance or amount is on the account for 3 days or more and hope nothing hits your account in that time. Other than that I am absolutely in love with this sword and this company now!!

This sword Surprised me, it’s very good for its relatively low price, the blade is sharp and has the Damascus design, although I am not sure if it is Damascus, it doesn’t matter, because it’s still an amazing sword. Very nice.

The blade is nice and straight and thick. The hamon seems fake and the fittings are loose and the quality of all fittings are cheap. But that is expected with the price being low. The scabbard is extremely light weight and feels like fiber glass, but is functional as needed. I can see this sword being used for target paractice. I would not display it as art though. Would be too embarrassing. If you ask me the product description is a bit over exaggerated.

I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it! It's nice and sturdy as well as very sharp right out of the packaging.. I would fully endorse this for any man that likes his blades.
