Great for work
This replaced my old glass water bottle after an unfortunate shattering accident and I am a big fan. It keeps water cold for hours, has no weird metallic taste even on first use and the 'sandpapery' texture really works for me. My hands are rarely dry when I have a chance to grab a quick sip (food service life) and with this bottle I never feel at risk of dropping it like I did with damp hands and my glass bottle.

A bit heavy when full to pick up and drink from
Pretty color and keeps my drink cold, although I only tested it outdoors on a hot afternoon. I didn't try the full 48 hours. I also didn't pre-chill it. I simply added some cold homemade kombucha (not a good idea to use a really fizzy carbonated commercial one, as the pressure from the gasses might cause trouble) and took it with me to sit outdoors at a coffee shop.It did keep my beverage admirable cold, despite constantly twisting off the cap to drink from it. That's the thing with these screw-top thermoses. On the one hand, when kept closed, I think the screw-top type of water bottles retain temperature much better than the ones with spouts or straws tend to. However, you have to open the top every time you want to take a sip or pour some out. In a way, this style is best for taking something you will pour into another cup to drink from. That way you don't have to keep opening it.The other issue for my with my delicate little lady hands, is that I found it borderline too heavy to drink from when full. It was just a bit awkward, You definitely wouldn't want to give this to a child or your grandma. I managed, and the slightly rough grippy surface helped a lot.

The S'well water bottle is swell
I read in the description that the S’well water bottle can keep things hot for up to 24 hours and I wanted to put that to the test. I filled the water bottle up with near to boiling water (yes, it was really hot) and then put the cap on securely. I left the bottle on my kitchen table upright and sometimes when I walked by I’d feel the cap and bottle. Each time the bottle felt like room temperature, but the cap area felt a little warmer. After 30 hours (not the 24 hours) I finally poured the water out and it was as hot as, if not hotter, what I could get out of the faucet. It actually hurt my hand to feel the water temperature. I was quite impressed that it retained that much heat after 30 hours in a 72-73 degree room. The bottle itself is 11.9” tall with a 3.1” diameter (I checked to make sure). The cap has a depth of ~2". The surface isn’t smooth, but has a little texture to it which creates friction between your hand and bottle to hold it better. This feature works good especially if your hands are wet or damp. The opening will fit single ice cubes made from my freezer, but I do have to put them in one at a time. The opening is too small if 2 ice cubes are struck together. I never felt any condensation on the bottle with hot or cold liquids in it. The opening is also easy to drink out of.Overall I really like this S’well water bottle. It’s not dishwasher safe, but it wouldn’t fit in the top rack of my dishwasher anyway due to the ~12” size.

Well insulated, easy to hold water bottle
This is a pretty great water bottle. I like the design because it fits in my cup holders, it's easy to hold, and the Peacock Blue is really pretty. It has a rough texture on the outside of the bottle, kind of like that stuff you can put on the bottom of your tub so you don't slip. I don't mind it, but I could see it being a little off putting for someone who has texture issues. The opening is a bit small, but you can still fit a normal sized piece of ice through it. You just have to load it up with ice, that size, one cube at a time. I have the small crunchy ice, so it's not a problem for me. The small opening also makes it a little more of a pain to clean, but if you have a good bottle brush you can get the job done. The cold beverages really do stay cold for two days, and the hot beverages stay pretty hot for 24 hours. So, it is a really well insulated bottle. I'm a diehard Yeti user, but I do really like this one too, so it has been incorporated into my water bottle rotation.

Excellent heat retention
This bottle appears to be very well made and is nicely finished. It is pretty heavy for a bottle of its size which I attribute to it not being paper thin like some cheaper bottles. The finish is textured so it should be less likely to slip out of your hand and that makes handling it while washing a bit more secure. I invested in a neoprene protective sleeve to keep it nice looking as well as adding a carrying handle or shoulder strap.Performance:This triple-layered vacuum-insulated bottle does a great job of keeping drinks hot. Hot drinks typically cool off faster than cold drinks warm up. So I tested this bottle with a hot drink using a digital thermometer to see how well it kept warm. I filled the bottle completely and measured the initial water temp in the bottle at 168 degrees. I put the cap on the bottle and waited 24 hours. After 24 hours I checked the temp and it had dropped to 147 degrees. That is still quite hot and is probably the best that I've seen. I'm confident that the cold temp performance will greatly exceed my needs and expectations as well.

Doesn’t hold temperature for long
I use swell for many years. Water would stay cold for more than 48 hours. Bought this one. It kept water cold for about 24 hours. Perhaps Swell changed manufacturing facilities or raw materials. Or perhaps they sell different bottles with different hour ratings.
