Thera-Band Gymstick

Why did i choose this?I do advanced reformer pilates (the reformer is basically a resistance machine that you lay down and and work on), and I wanted a solution for travelling. I found resistance bands with a door stopper un-useable in many hotels, usually there was either furniture getting in the way of the workout area by door, or the door opened the wrong way, so I hunted around for something that didn't need to be attached to a door or anything, and this stick design is what I found.Choice of ResistanceSticks are coloured, and each stick comes with bands of the same colour that are set at a certain resistance range (eg, green stick comes with green bands, blue stick comes with blue bands. You can buy additional bands separately if you need more resistance. It's important to choose the right band to start with, as you will find the higher level resistance bands too hard for you to use even at their lowest 'setting'.How do you use it?There are a range of exercises, and your feet go inside the loops. Exercises are performed with either, a foot in each loop, or two feet in one loop. Some exercises are done with the stick leaning on the floor. I would recommend looking on youtube for 'gymstick original workout 1', 'gymstick original workout 2','gymstick original workout 3',or 'gymstick original workout 4', to get a good idea of what you can do, it's easier to understand if you watch the footage.What do you get in the boxa sticka carry baga workout sheetEach Stick is upgradableI bought a blue stick which was fortunately for me on an amazing offer at the time, and as with many of us, I discovered that the blue stick matched the strength of my upper body, but my lower body demanded a higher strength. Investing in additional bands comes at around £30 a set, so again the price is not as good as a resistance band kit, but in my case, using this while travelling, I could not rely on hotel doors and rooms to accommodate the door attachment, and was happy to pay the price for an additional set of black bands - i felt that everything would after all, pay for itself over a short time, as I would not be paying gym fees whilst away.Breaks apart for travellingThe stick comes apart and can easily be packed in a suitcase.Online videos and resources?There are lots of workout videos on youtube, and on the company's website.I located a downloadable pdf online too, that had over 70 exercises.PricePrice wise, this obviously not as competitive as a good brand name resistance band set, but as I was unable to use the band kits in the end, so that was money wasted on a kit that cost around £35.Any issues?Those with coordination or balance issues might struggle a little, but if you go easy and take you time to understand the exercises you will get on fine. You would struggle with the stick in a very small hotel room due to is size, but in this instance, I workout outside.I am really pleased with the stick, it means i can workout wherever i am an not sorry about having to attach the workout tool to anything, i can just unpack and get on with it.

The supplier is great to deal with and very responsive. I use the Gymstick as a workout following the Gymstick workouts that are posted on YouTube which are great. The piece of equipment is very well made and the quality is far superior to most other Pilates bars selling on Amazon. It is also possible to buy replacement bands and/or upgrade to a higher strength if Green (light) becomes unchallenging. However, it is quite a lot more expensive than other Pilates bars.

Excellent Gymstick !

Good tool

During my first Gymstick session the ball came out of the tubing therefore detaching it from the Gymstick! Husband spent a long time painstakingly attempting to put this right in time for my next class and I do hope the same thing will not happen again.

Die Lieferung kam zuverlässig und sehr schnell , sodass ich bereits 2 Tage nach Order meinen Muskelkater pflegen kann!!

Da ich vor Kurzem einen Fitness-Kurs mit Gymstick besucht habe, musste ich mir das Teil einfach auch für zuhause anschaffen.Ich bin absolut begeistert über die vielfältigen Übungen die man machen kann und natürlich ist das Teil auch megaplatzsparend!Ich muss allerdings sagen dass ich froh bin vorher von einem Profi die Übungen gezeigt bekommen zu haben da manche etwas komplizierter sind und man leicht Fehler machen kann.Aber dafür kann man super variieren!Ich nutze den Stick mit einer App zum Zirkeltraining und bin 100% zufrieden!

Besser geht nicht, top zufrieden! Alles so wie erwartet erhalten, immer wieder gerne Kunde.So soll es sein, so soll es bleiben.
