YogiyoMild Korean Sesame Soy Stir-Fry Sauce, 100 g

As someone who has a love of salty umami foods, and particularly Asian flavours, I have no idea why I passed on buying these. They've been around for months and kept appearing as I was buying other ingredients such as ssamjang and gochuguru. Eventually I gave in and decided to try it out with tofu in place of my gochujang sauce.If you love Korean salty fermented flavours, sweet and sticky sauces or even dishes with fermented black beans I can recommend this sauce.I think it's absolutely fantastic. I will say though, depending on how watery the pan contents are (the type of vegetables you're using) the sauce can end up very thick and gloopy. That in turn makes it incredibly salty which is what quite a few reviewers found. I discovered that I just needed to let the sauce down a little as it quickly evaporated away. The tofu and onions I have used are quite dry so the sauce rapidly thickens.The sauce is good at clinging to food, creating a wonderful coating. I think it's the sort of thing that goes well with any crispy fried strips of meat, Quorn, tofu or even paneer.Someone had also said that there were lots of sesame seeds. I didn't find so many, not that I'm bothered because the flavour is what makes this sauce amazing. I added some toasted sesame seeds to the top, it made the whole thing special.I can see that this will be a regular for me as the result is a wonderful Asian comfort food.Recommended!

Sweet, tangy and utterly delicious.I was struggling to get these from the supermarket and then they were rationing them to 3 which is useless. I was able to buy from here 10 at a time. They are the same price as the supermarkets so didnt save any money, but i am happy to pay 70p a sachet.I probably eat 3 packs of this a week as i eat a lot of stir frys. This one especially is amazing with crispy belly pork and spring onions on a bed of wild rice. Deliciously moreish.Will buy again and again.

A pretty standard sauce, but for the price I would say that I'm pleased and will be buying this again if I need it. I used it to make a noodle and vegetable stir fry. The portion size was good for two people. The sauce wasn't overly thick but not too watery either. The flavour was nice, though I had to add some extra crushed red peppers to get it to the kind I make from scratch.In a pinch, it's great to have in the cupboard. It makes for an easy and tasty dinner meal, all for a cheap price!

Delivered on time. This is absolutely delicious added to stir fry like it says to. Very tasty, Flavour is spot on. Myself and my husband really enjoyed it. I reordered some more, so I wouldn’t run out of it. So I would highly recommend this sauce if you love your stir fry’s. 10/10 👍🏻😋 Good price as well.

Nice packaging with a lot of info, thought I would give it a try, but it's not for me. A bit too salty, I am sure there are some dishes this would be perfect for though.Cooks nicely with noodles though and has a very nice consistency.Lots of sesame seeds in the sauce as well which was nice.

Added these to an Amazon order as I was stuck in house self-isolating and ran out of sauces. Had never tried them before (or even heard of the brand) but safe to say I'm impressed! Added fantastic flavour to my tofu & veg stir fry. Will definitely buy again!

Delicious sauce, thin consistency but expected for a soy style sauce. Really intense flavour and I often only use half a pack at a time as its plenty!

It is very very salty. It would be a great product with great taste if the salt amount was right. Maybe someone who loves salty food will love it. We did not enjoy it.
