Norman Hall's Police Exam Preparation Book Subsequent Edition

Great for studying if your trying to be a police officer this was recommended to me and I’m glad I went with it

I used this to study for a Law Enforcment exam that I needed to take for a job and it was fantastic. Very helpful and I feel like it helped me excel on the test that I took. I passed the test and got the job!

By far the best decision I made to prep for the written exam. Everything you need to know and more, is in this book. I spent a couple hours a day going through each chapter leading up to exam day. Everything is super easy to follow, the practice tests are great. Used it for about 2 weeks prior to exam and I scored a 98%. Definitely worth the money and time

Ok I gave it four stars only because I didn't like the lay out of the answer sheet. For the most part this book hit the nail on the head. I've taken the police written test numerous times for the Montgomery sheriff dept here in. Montgomery, Al. I admit. Leading up to the test I didn't study this everyday. I took the test and the book really helped me. Both the book and the test had memory, math, and map questions. I'm looking forward to my test results. My advice to you candidates or anybody that who's taking any police test in the near future is: PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY WORD THE QUESTION IS ASKING. detail is important. Good luck guys!

I'm really glad I bought this book. This book is very informative because it gives you so many different scenarios and situations. There's a ton of memorization, math, scenarios, and more. After each section, there are lots of questions to quiz you on what you just learned. I do have to admit, it is a difficult book, but it is very educational in that sense.

You should purchase a police exam book specifically for your state. Laws are different from state to state so this book is really no help to prepare you for the exam in your state. I'm in Texas and this book and the TCOLE book I ended up purchasing had big differences.

The book is as good as the picture shows.

I will say this first. I passed all my written exams. (I applied to three different police departments). So did reading this book help? I'll say yes. But it was more of a refresher read from what I learned in High school. And that was from over 15 years ago. If you are of average to above normal intelligence. Taking a quick read through this book will definitely help reinforce everything you should have learned in grade school. So buy this book and read through the whole thing, just so you have some peace of mind that you actually made an effort towards a very rewarding and life changing career. Good luck! Side note. I purchased this one and the Kaplan test prep. Don't be stingy. Invest in yourself.
