Size:15' x 25' Oval Protect Your Swimming Pool Liner with the Armor Shield. The unique material provides an important protective layer between a vinyl swimming pool liner and its sand or soil base. Unlike traditional foam padding, Armor Shield is a Polypropylene Geotextile material that prevents cuts and punctures to the vinyl liner caused by rocks, roots, grass and even glass. The liner guard is made from a resilient fabric that permits moisture to safely pass through. Armor Shield reduces convective heat loss and provides a comfortable floor pad for tired feet. Simply place the Armor Shield under your new vinyl swimming pool liner during installation

Protective pool pad
I just put this down today as we recently bought an intel prism pool. I have the 12’ pad, but only a 10’ pool. It works fine, even has a little overlap which is good for the kids getting in and out.We have aggregate concrete in the yard, which means it has those textured pebbles on it. This is working great to create a padding for the bottom of the pool. I’ll have more info as we use it for a while.Laying it out was simple. Just unfold it and lay it down. There is a side that says to leave down on the ground. Let it smooth out in the sun and spray a little water on it to flatten it out. Then I built the pool on top.Of course I filled some holes and cracks with sand. So there were no voids under the pad. And I previously used my leaf blower and broom to get rid of any loose pebbles, sticks etc. It’s a simple process and I hope it works as good as I’ve heard.

Good product, not a guarantee though.
I give 2 stars because of their “guarantee” I live in Florida, and purchased a intex above ground pool. After grass growing through bottom and having to start over w a new pool liner I decided this product should do the trick. I killed off the grass, raked it out, laid sand to level off, and finally laid this mat/pad. Set up the pool and within 6 weeks I was already seeing new bits of grass pop up inside the pool again. Maybe it’s this Florida grass, but I am out of suggestions. I initially wanted to give 1 star, but then decided 2 would be fair because the product is better than a regular tarp, but pricey for their “guarantee”. Maybe they can send me a new one and I can return the one I have now that has at least 2dozen grass bits growing through and we can start again w new suggestions. I hope this was Helpful. I have pictures I can post if anyone would like to see.

Thin weed block material
It will not provide any cushion at all; I'm not sure why they included that in the product decription. It is basically very thin weed block material. I first laid an ultra heavy duty tarp on the area of the yard where I was setting up my 10' pool. Then I put down interlocking foam floor peices and duct taped the seams. Next, I laid this over the top of the foam tiles and set the pool up on top. The bottom of the pool is so soft under my feet and even on my knees. I highly recommend the foam tiles. This liner was just a little extra protection, but I feel it's overpriced. I think I could have done without it since I used an extra thick tarp.

It is a 5 star product with one annoying packaging detail
I used this before putting a new liner in a pool that had been neglected 7 or more years. The old liker had been cut and left to drain, and a lot of growth had happened in the sand base. After cleaning, raking and sweeping the site over and over, there were still lots of tiny sticks and rocks, in the sand. Rather than bring in new sand I bought this. It is great, heavy and I believe will protect my liner for years. I went back and forth on removing a star because the product is folded backwards. Since this has a "this side down", I assumed it would open and allow me to lay it out like a pool liner, where only the back face ever touches the dirt. This is a heavy, rough felt type product so unfolding it in the pool causes you to drag it through the sand and pick up all the things you are trying to protect your pool liner from, like the tiny sticks, etc. After you turn it over, you have to go through and pick them all out of the felt face before putting in the liner. again a great product with one annoying packaging detail.

Decent ground cover
This was a quick and easy ground cover, I used it on pavers, so the imprint from the stones shows through. Material is felt-like. Protects very well, and I like that it's a round shape not square. I just wish it was a little thicker

Great added protection for your pool
Upon consulting a professional pool installer in regards to our own pool, I found out that he always uses this product for all his above ground pool jobs. It is basically just padding that protects the liner underneath as the sand settles around the pool bottom. So it's a soft barrier between sand/supports and the bottom of the pool liner. There is nothing to installing this other than laying on top of the sand after the pool supports are leveled. Amazon had best price for our 12 x 24 size ($66), Installer wanted $150. You can order in specific sizes with no cutting-to-fit involved. Think it is worth the investment for the protection it provides. It also makes the pool bottom softer. I would definitely recommend this product to someone installing a new pool or if you are putting a new liner in an existing pool.

Good insurance policy to prevent jagged stones/roots from spoiling your summer fun
Ordered this as an underpayment pad for my new pool. Although I meticulously groomed the pad site prior to pool installation, it’s impossible to find the jagged edge of pebbles buried beneath the ground surface. After much research, I purchased this ground mat. It’s thicker than expected, made of a felt type material. I used the pool all last year and nothing poked through the liner surface. It’s a little expensive, but better to install than to have to drain, patch, then refill pool and still have no guarantees. It also adds a slight cushion that I didn’t have with my old pool, without the pad.

material is like a piece of felt
material is like a piece of felt. This is not a cushion really but more of a protector from rocks and other objects that could potentially poke a hole in the bottom of the pool...although it does add some comfort. our pool set on concrete and i could tell a difference once inside and filled
