Can not see the lines for the backup camera, microphone unusable
The technical support is great!I actually like the device in general although it had for me three issues.a) the build in microphone has too low of a volume. To solve it I bought the microphone from the carpuride web page which did not improve the quality much. +$10, It took 15 days to arrive, which is ok as comming from overseas. So I no longer use it. I found, it is best to use the speaker and mike from an iphone, but this can not be configured automatically but must be done for each call.b) In case you want to use the aux cable you need also to put in an audiofilter as the car will produce static. That cost about +$10c) The included firmware does not include the lines shown in the advertised images. The vendor communicated they will change that. I myself got through them a new firmware that has the lines. The lines are however static.d) there is a one or two day turnaround with the manufacturer if you have questions which i find is very quick. The manufacturer is realy trying to be helpful.e) As I ran into all these issues the manufacturer refunded my money and I can keep the device. The screen I like very much, I do not have access to newer devices from the company, so I do not know how they compare or if they have solved the issues. I give for the support 5 stars

Great CarPlay, OK backup camera
I got this to cheaply and easily add CarPlay to an older vehicle that already had aux in. The CarPlay works remarkably well. The screen boots up and connects to my phone in under 10 seconds. It connects faster and more reliably than the CarLinkit 3.0 wired-to-wireless CarPlay adapter that I use in my other vehicle that only came with wired CarPlay. It's very responsive. The screen is a good size and I like that it's wide so it doesn't block my view too much.So far, the mounting arm has stayed glued to the dash. It does bounce a bit, but that's expected with such a large screen attached. I like that it can be angled low enough to keep the screen from blocking too much of my view. It can also extend out enough that it's easy to reach. It would be nice if the connector were magnetic so it was easier to detach and re-attach to the mounting arm. I prefer not to keep it mounted when parked so it will not be a target for thieves. I'm also hoping keeping it out of the sun will increase the longevity. The audio quality is decent. I was worried that I would need a ground loop isolator like with a cheaper Bluetooth adapter I was using before, but it works fine without one. I haven't tried the FM transmitter or the Bluetooth to car connection because my car doesn't have built-in Bluetooth.I like that this has a light sensor to auto-adjust the screen brightness. I wish there was an option to change the sensitivity, but it's just full-auto or full-manual screen brightness. The included power adapter charges my phone slowly, but it's possible to use other power adapters as long as they supply enough power.I'm taking a star off because the backup camera isn't very good. The image quality of this camera is mediocre at best. The vertical field of view is so limited that I can only see about 4 feet behind my car. This works enough that I can see the car's bumper and use it for tight parallel parking spaces in the city, but I definitely cannot backup just looking at the camera like I can with my other car. It does work fine at night.Installing the backup camera took several hours. There aren't any instructions. I was able to find some YouTube video showing how to install a similar camera on my car. An electrician friend helped me install it, and he said the narrow gauge of the wires made it very difficult to splice in to the reverse light wires. The only way to power the camera is to splice it in to the reverse lights. There is no way to manually activate the camera from the display. As soon as the camera has power, the display switches to the camera.

Perfect Upgrade for My 2011 CR-V!
5-Star Review: CARPURIDE W903 – Perfect Upgrade for My 2011 CR-V!I absolutely love the CARPURIDE W903 Portable CarPlay & Android Auto system! It was a fantastic addition to my 2011 Honda CR-V, and here’s why:Pros:The 9.3" HD IPS screen is crystal clear and responsive, making it easy to navigate. Both the 4K front camera and 1080P rear camera exceeded my expectations – the video quality is sharp, even in low light.Having both CarPlay and Android Auto is a game-changer. It’s super convenient for whoever is in the car to connect seamlessly.Features like Bluetooth, GPS, and Siri integration make every drive more enjoyable and stress-free.The dashboard mount makes installation a breeze, and it stays securely in place.Cons:Nothing significant so far – everything works as advertised!

Feel Like an Idiot...Is It Me or CarPlay?
This is the second Portable CarPlay unit I've purchased through Amazon. The first went back last week, because its connections which were center, rear, simply did not line up easily with mounts needed for my 2004 Audi. This one has the connections on the side, eliminating that issue and thanks to the purchase of an additional mount that plugs into the CD changer, it can sit unobtrusively close at head.As you will learn, there are three ways of getting audio after connecting your phone to the device: via Bluetooth wirelessly or wired, or through a direction USB connection to your iPhone (or Android). Supposedly those are the options, and reportedly you can have audio come either from tiny speaker of the unit, or use Bluetooth to send audio through your car's stereo through an unused channel on your radio or through an auxiliary cord. But after several frustrating attempts, several YouTube videos, and even a couple emails to Carpuride, I've given up.So for now, I have audio coming from the tiny speaker in this unit, and I've ordered an auxiliary speaker that allegedly works with this unit. Guess I won't be hearing audio out of my stock Bose speakers. But I was mostly interested in Navigational assistance, for I'll survive.Just wish there were someplace I could take my car and ask an expert to get it up and fully functioning! The Manual is poorly written and not very helpful.A few days later, another unit arrived, and it was up and running--- without issues-- almost immediately, so the Carpuride unit has gone back. Your mileage may vary.
