Beautiful, Important, Painful, Enriching
This is a beautiful book of poetry, brought tears to my eyes, and also strength. A book to go back to again and again, to paraphrase another review- a step into the soul of a people, and a step into my soul.

A window into the soul of a country in crisis
An extraordinarily timely publication that spans Israelis’ initial shock of the events of October 7, 2023, through the aftershocks nearly a year later. Its unusual bilingual format amplifies the depth of vision of these poets, particularly in its Hebrew references to Biblical and other classic texts that otherwise might be lost in translation. Korazim’s skillful selection of poems is joined with sensitive translations by herself, Bohnen, and Silverman. Further depth is available for most of these poems through lecture-discussions posted on korazim.com. A book that works for individual contemplation and group study as the high holy days for 5785, and the anniversary of October 7, arrive.

A very meaningful, soulful book
This book was an opportunity to dive deep into the emotions October 7th created and to come closer to understanding Israeli society in an authentic, uncensored way.The book took long ro read as each poem was so difficult.Thank you for creating this memory in time, especially as we face the first year to this terror attack soon.

An incredible, one-of-a-kind bilingual book of poems written since Oct. 7
While there are many, many poems being published and shared now in Israel, and a number of publications, some printed and some being planned, this is the ONLY bilingual Hebrew/English book. Lovingly translated with a clarity and poetic sensibility hard to accomplish, this book truly is a must-own. The poets, some of whom have never been published before, come from all walks of life. Many, many people contributed money to make this book happen in a timely manner, and all proceeds go to a charity (see write-up). This book is a perfect gift!

Groundbreaking, Heartfelt and Wrenching
Brilliant selection from among thousands of post-October 7 Israeli poems. Written by survivors, families of the murdered and the hostages, and Israelis suffering from the trauma of this assault these works highlight both personal, national and spiritual pain and bewilderment. Wonderfully translated and a must-read. Appropriate gift at any time.

Meaningful, powerful, and deeply moving
Like "These Holy Days" and "Seder Interrupted," this book and these poems will be read generations later, like so many kinot written after disasters in Jewish history.
