Very nice headphones for activity
I bought both these and the "HD1 free" at the same time. My main exercise where I'd use headphones is walking outside; I have decent equipment indoors where I can just use a speaker, and running IMHO is just a good way to get hurt. The sound quality on the HD1 free is better; we'll just get that out of the way first - those things are absolutely phenomanal earbuds. But the HD1 cord is longer and they don't fit as snugly in my ears. As a result, while I'm walking around town, turning my head to cross the street, they would get pulled out just slightly. Without the seal, earbuds suddenly sound really hollow. These CX1s, though, are great. They sound /almost/ as good as the HD1 free, which means they still sound better than whatever you probably have now. They really do sound very good; they're an outstanding earbud. I'm keeping them because they really do work better for "active" use. They're lighter weight overall. The buds are somewhat smaller and the cord is shorter. Looking at them, you'd think those were really minor changes, but they feel substantially lighter weight overall. Combine that with the silicone "wings", and these stay put exceptionally well. They come with four sets of "the thing that plugs your ear canal" and three sizes of wing, but, as a "borderline-large guy" (6'1"/225), the default size-3 cushions and medium wings (as-shipped) fit me perfectly. I did run and jump some with them in, and have spent several hours walking around town, which involves a lot of "look both ways before crossing" head motions that usually pull headphones out. These things stay exactly where I put them. They block out darn near all outside nose in a small town, so they're honestly probably not super safe to wear in high-speed traffic - but I'm in a village where there's basically no cars driving around. They'd be great in a gym, and I've been using them at my desk occasionally (though my PXC-550 headset gets more use when I'm sitting down). The thing about these (actually both) which I'm most impressed by, aside from the sound, is the bluetooth range. I use some 3M worktunes over-ear hearing protection while I'm mowing. They also use bluetooth. I noticed that the sound would pause when I'd pass in front of my front door. After the fourth or fifth time, I looked at the bluetooth settings, and my phone was connecting to the CX1 sports. I had forgotten to turn them off, and left them on my kitchen table. In the house, over 50 feet away, though two doors. The signal was strong enough and these connect fast enough that they were reconnecting to my phone in my front pocket on the opposite side of my body. I had to go inside and turn them off. It goes without saying that I've not had any trouble with them disconnecting from my phone regardless of where I carry it. You wouldn't have to keep your phone on you while working out, as long as it's in view.Re: the yellow, I wasn't initially a huge fan. But I've decided I like it for two reasons. One, it makes them easier to find in a dark bag or whatever, and two, it's just enough that people around can actually tell you're wearing headphones. since these block out external sound so well, it's nice not turning around and realizing that someone's been talking to you for who knows how long without you hearing a word.In short, I love these things for any time I'm moving around; they stay in and sound really really good. And the HD1 free? My wife ended up keeping them, because she didn't have a particularly good set of headphones. So, we both win. :)

You’re not getting any warranty with this product. Steer clear.
Do not buy. Mine will not hold a charge after 3 months of use. Numerous phone calls to Sennheiser and because it is not purchased through an authorized dealer there is no 2 year warranty. Or 3 moths, ha. The reason I bought them is because of the 2 year warranty. Very deceptive. I’m going to buy a set of Bose at an “authorized dealer” so I can get a warranty.

Sound quality is terrible
They play sound, yes. Semi-comfortable in the ears. If you care at all about your music sounding good, dont buy these. If your ears are made of tin and you can't tell the difference between the stock stereo in a 1987 Honda Civic or a Tesla model 3 then these are great earbuds for working out.Seriously, sound quality is buttcheeks. Even with a 3rd party app equalizer these things are terrible.

Good sound, great for working out
The CX Sport from Sennheiser is a good choice when you're looking for a headphones for your workouts. This has a similar sound signature to what I've heard in other Sennheiser products. While it's not cheap, it is made well and the connection is consistent and strong. Buy this if you want a good pair of headphones for working out - as that is their claim to fame.Sound: The CX Sport has a crisp, clear sound that I find similar to other Sennheiser products. It has their typical well-defined treble and mids. The bass is balanced, but not emphasized like other competing products. The over all sound is pleasing, clear, and well-defined. I also like the fact that the soundstage has a slightly "airy" quality to it. I have tried so many cheaper WIRED headphones during my workouts, and the wireless CX Sport is lightyears better than all of them. When I compare them to my other "audiophile" wired IEMs - like my Ultimate Ears Triple Fi.10 - these are in the same league - which surprised me a lot! These sound that good regardless if you bought them for workouts or not. I will admit that I use the equalizer settings on my iPhone to bump the bass up a bit - but that's a minor issue for me.Comfort: This product comes with 3 pairs of eartips as well as 3 pairs of earfins which help secure the earpieces better - especially when you're working out. Switching out the eartips and earfins is quite easy - and it takes very little time in finding the right fit. I've keep them on for over an hour during workouts, and they remained comfortable.Battery Life: I typically recharge them every 3-4 days. Being so small, they won't last after about 4 hours.Connection: This product uses Bluetooth 4.1. I've tested them connected to my phone which was upstairs, and I went downstairs - the connection was still stable without any issues.Latency: I use the CX Sport with an iPhone 8 Plus. I will admit - there is a little lag when watching video. The sound is ever so slightly behind. It's only noticeable when watching the lips of someone talking - the sound isn't exactly timed correctly. I don't mind this - since I'd have to really be looking for it to notice. Besides, this is not an issue when listening to music - which is what I do most of the time.ConclusionThese are a great choice if you're looking to step up from the typical budget headphones. They are very light, and when exercising vigorously, they remain stable and in my ears without any issues.
