Excellent if you’re frustrated with your 2b/2c low-porosity hair!
Omggggg this is sooooo good! I love As I Am cowashes, but this one is my favorite!I don’t have the recommended hair type for this product, but I still love it so I hope this review will be helpful for someone else with similar hair! I have super fine (but full/thick) wavy 2b/2c hair that is also low-porosity. My hair LOVES humidity; it curls right up in humid locations. Unfortunately for my hair, I live in Alaska where the air is insanely dry, so I have to work hard to get moisture into my strands so my waves will actually define themselves. That’s where this cowash comes in!Out of the original, tea tree, and this one, this is definitely the thickest so I can get away with using a lot less to clean my hair. At the start of my shower, I massage thoroughly through my scalp, squeeze down through my ends, and then rinse it out at the end of my shower. Follow it up with the rest of my curly girl routine and my hair is sooo silky and defined! Also, the scent of this is divine!!Only thing to note (it’s not a con, though, because it’s no fault of the product but rather just how my scalp is naturally): if you’re like me and you find after 2-3 times of using this, your scalp is getting a little flaky from buildup, just use your clarifying shampoo a little more often. I cowash 2-3x a week, and clarify anywhere between once every 1-1.5 weeks, and every month or two I’ll hydrate my scalp and hair with coconut oil as a pre-shower mask. This way, both my hair AND my scalp stay happy!

Love BUT….
It’s definitely in the wrong container. It’s so watery that a lot of it falls through my fingers onto the shower floor. The actual product works very well though and smells great .

Love it
I love this cowash! It's super moisturizing, very thick so you don't have to use a ton each time you clean your hair, and leaves my hair so soft and shiny. I have 2c/3a curls that are bleached 3-4 levels lighter than my natural color and I swear just adding this into my routine has improved the condition of my hair immensely. My hair feels softer and stronger but curl texture is not impacted and my roots aren't flattened out (lots of thicker cowashes weigh my hair down). It's smells amazing too.

Wonder Product
I feel like I have tried nearly everything to get my very fine type 2a/2b waves to look good air dried. Most shampoos make my hair look clean, but mess up my wave pattern and all cowashes leave me with limp and greasy looking hair. The As I Am Growash gives me the clean, shiny, moisturized and healthy hair I want while enhancing my waves. No more grease and limpness! Just fresh, fluffy waves!

Great on fine 2A or 2B hair!
I know that this is recommended for hair types 3/4. However, ....... I am a Caucasian female with long fine 2A/B hair. I live in the desert and have hard water. I highlight and lowlight my hair. I don’t blow dry my hair, and I wash my hair before bed. I sleep on a silk pillowcase. I am here to tell you the pros and cons in my scenario. There is no glycerin in this product. Glycerin creates frizz in the desert. It’s lightweight and does not weigh my hair down. I still condition afterward. I use a Living Proof PHD conditioner. I also use this daily, and at times alternate every other day with the coconut cowash. Due to fine hair, I need to wash daily....but no matter what shampoo I use, they all dry my hair too much and cause breakage and increase my detangling issues. As I Am has really helped in the tangles department. All that said, I love this “growash.” I also own the As I Am coconut cowash. I prefer the growash just a little bit more. It has slightly more slip.As far as the smell, it reminds me of fake candy. This can be a true con, and possibly a deal breaker. It’s a little similar to strawberry shortcake in the 1980’s, but more of a fake pomegranate/raspberry like smell vs a more shortcake doll plastic strawberry smell. So, if you want a more sophisticated smell, this may not be for you. For my day to day it’s fine. As a single girl in my 40’s, it’s a little young smelling for when I am in a position to be “the sophisticated professional” in the room.

Pretty good.
I love As I Am. I like this growash, but I think I’ll go back to the coconut cowash instead. With the coconut cowash I can scoop it with my fingers. This pink version is very soupy and if I scoop it, most of it drips off. I’ve been pouring it into my palm, but it’s just not as easy. Maybe I’ll try this pink version next in shampoo and conditioner bottles. But both of the cowashes are great for my hair.
