My 5 year old daughter and 6 year old neice are really into gemstones, fossils, rocks etc so I bought one for each of them as a birthday gift. My daughter's birthday is today and she loved this gift. She throughly enjoyed identifying what she recieved using the identification sheet that came with the stones/minerals, and then picking out her favorites.I don't know a ton about gemstones/minerals/semiprecious stones, but I have enough knowledge to know that lapis lazuli, labradorite, and turquoise are typically worth more than stones like quartz. I was expecting a ton of quartz with a sprinkling of small chips of other things. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was not the case. While none of the stones are gigantic some of the larger ones were lapis lazuli and turquoise. She also had quite a lot of rutilated and tourmalated quartz...I've always appreciated the beauty of those fine lines running through the clear quartz.Overall she was over the moon with this gift, and I look forward to giving my niece hers for her birthday. While they are small in size there is a good variety as well as a good variety of various sizes. For less than $10 I'd say it's money well spent.

It was very interesting, trying to match up the stones with the paper that came included. There are a lot of pretty unique stones. There were some that were very tiny, but there are plenty that are a proper size.

These are really chips but they are pretty.

I didn’t realize how small a lot of the stones would be. So that was a little disappointing.But to make up for that, there are a lot of cool looking ones. A lot of variety and interesting colors. So very pleased about that!

A really nice batch, the kid loved it. They are curious about rocks and where different types can be found, so this was a fun gift of an assortment with a brochure.

Way smaller than I was expecting.

Lots of small polished rocks with a box and a two sided photographic guide to the rocks included.Makes a good gift.
