I switched over from another brand of Alpha Lipoic Acid a couple of years ago, and having been purchasing the BestVite brand ever since. The reason for switching was primarily because of the addition of Biotin, which increases the absorption of the ALA. I take it, not because of any medical condition, but instead for preventative measures. Alpha Lipoic Acid is an important antioxidant, one of many antioxidants that I take daily. I recently had a test of my antioxidant levels, and they are very high, which is a good thing (they protect cells from free radicals).I did have a problem with the most recent bottle, so contacted the manufacturer. The person I spoke with was very professional, and made the problem right. I will continue to purchase this brand.

I have had horrible burning tingling in my feet all day and worse at night. My doctor sent me for x-rays and said I had arthritis. So I did some research on my own and found this great pill. It might not work for everyone, but for me - it worked right away. I take one in the a.m. and one at night, with a meal. It's a miracle to me and I am finally sleeping at night.UPDATE: these pills give me terrible heart burn. I read another review that said to buy empty enteric-coated capsules and then I bought a capsule fill machine, so added expense. I did contact BestVite but maybe if everyone who also has this problem also e-mailed them - they might change their capsules, but I doubt it.

Just to be sure there was no infection, got a full urine work-up and culture. All negative. Stopped taking it for a few days and urine returned to normal. Started taking it again and the strong smell returned within a few hours.This was recommended by a medical professional, so have been taking it for several months. But as with most supplements taken through the years, there have been no changes to-date. When used up, if there continues to be no improvements, will not be re-ordering this.

This came highly recommended to help build immunity to disease, both viral and bacterial. I believe it is working as I haven't been sick since I started using it.

Very effective , helping tremendously with my nondiabetic neuropathy. I am taking 2 tablets / a day. One in the morning and one before bed time. My feet don't burn all day and night. I have tried too many Alpha Lipoic Acid 600mg (per Capsule) and I am very happy to say this is the best product by far.
