Set of 2 Plastic Bowl and Dough Scrapers, Curved and Straight Edge

Useful, useful, useful! I use these a lot in my bread baking and they are great. Functional, indestructible, easy clean up and affordable.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This dough scraper, while semi-rigid and flexible is made of cheap plastic. The scraper was used once and has plastic pieces coming off the edges. I have thrown the bread away I made with this after washing the scraper and finding that there were pieces (almost like burrs) coming off of the scraper. I was afraid of what have might made its way into the dough that I had mixed and divided. When buying something of this manner used in food preparation NOTHING should be able to come off and make its way into the product!

Great price for solid quality bowl scrapers. I've used these for decades in professional kitchens, they are usually supplied free by flour and baking supply companies and have a company logo on them. I needed a few for home, these fit the bill perfectly. Stiff enough that you can scrape the board and cut dough, but flexible enough to contour to the inside of a mixing bowl to get all of the dough or starter out.

These are just ok. The flat edge is straight--ie. not tapered or sharp. I wanted one where the curved side AND straight side have a bit of a plastic edge. Also, it turns out that other scrapers that are more curved on one end than the other is the best for my dough and bowls. This one just doesn't fit the shape of my bowls. And on a kneading surface I want to use the flat side and it needs to be sharp. Overall I'm glad I purchased the "Dough and Bowl Scapers set of 4" that has green and white, and have sharpish edges and different curves. They were perfect. By the I ordered three different sets and all of the ones shaped like these were IDENTICAL to each other. Get the green and white 4 set.

Not sure why, but bits of plastic are coming off on all the edges on both scrapers. I've only used this to scrape dough in bowls and surfaces. I have washed them a few times in the dishwasher, but others in the reviews have as well without issue. I first thought the bits were dried dough and scraped them off with my finger nail. I've done this a few times over several bakes and cleaning. Today I noticed they are actually plastic bits and not dried dough. They come off easily and I'm afraid may have stuck onto the dough I've been baking.

They work as supposed to. Just wash them with a cloth, nothing rough, as they do scratch up easily. I use them for bread dough folding and with a little water across them before beginning they work beautifully, not sticky mess to clean up.

 Have only used a few times, but these are MUCH stiffer than the scraper they're replacing. Makes it a bit hard to get my ciabatta dough out of the bowl because it doesn't conform as well as the old one did.Looking at other reviews, it seems like they change suppliers or materials, because other folks have said that these are flimsy. These are definitely very stiff.

This 2 pack is a great deal. I make my own bread and use these a lot. I do own a stainless steel dough scraper but I didn't want to use it on my counter for fear of scratching it. The plastic takes away that fear. I use them to scrape the dough out of the bowl and to kneed it on the counter.

I love making home made breads. These scrapers are the right size and the dough doesn't stick. highly recommend these to anyone working with yeast doughs.
