I always got this to feed my axolotol, he loved this food it smelled awful and my cats always tried to steal the package of food so I had to keep it in a little cabinet just for him. This pack of food lasted him a very long time I would say I had to replace it yearly. He lived a long time but he is no longer with me now sadly. Anyways it was a good buy and he liked it and it grew him really big.

My axolotl would not touch them. Not sure why she may have eaten maybe 2 or 3 pellets BUT my cichlids loves them

My axolotl came to me as a rescue with very short gill fronds, due to an infection he had when he was young. His pink frillies looked fine, but his little fronds were nubs. After already having him two years, I decided to start feeding him this, and all of the sudden his gill fronds started quickly growing!! It's only been 2 weeks, and his fronds have more than doubled in length. I'm so so happy, and I wish so much I had started supplementing with this sooner! Even with eating a hearty diet of earthworms, he was very obviously missing some key nutrients that he needed to regenerate his fronds. Very happy! Also, I should mention he loves it! I put it in a bowl at the bottom of the tank, and when he's ready for it, he lays over his bowl like a puppy. We're two happy campers!

I have two larger (around 4-5") and two baby (around 2 months old) Axolotls. It took a little coaxing to get them to eat the pellets. I normally give the big ones red wigglers, f/t bloodworms, and other f/t treats. I had to drop the pellet right in front of them to get thir attention at first. Once they were looking up, I'd drop the next and they'd catch it. After a couple of weeks, I can drop a bunch in the middle of the tank and they'll come over to eat.The babies were raised on live, baby brine shrimp, daphnia (I culture it), and detrius worms (from the daphnia cultures). A couple of weeks ago, they started getting their back legs. I started introducing not so live foods; f/t mysis shrimp, cut up f/t bloodworms. I cut up a pellet into tiny bites and dropped them in. They loved it! I continue to introduce varied foods -- they like the Zoo Med Frog and Tadpole granules and API Betta pellets, too.My African Clawed and African Dwarf frogs love these pellets, also. I just drop them in for the Claweds and break them up a little for the Dwarves. Although, Clawed Frogs will eat just about anything they can stuff into their mouths. My Dwarves are pickier after being spoiled with live daphnia and f/t mysis and bloodworms.

The food is soft, not hard and the reviews were great which is why I tried it. My axolotls actually wouldn’t eat this at first. Few days in I think they may now but it definitely took a bit. I figured they’d go crazy over it but one pellet tapped one of my axolotls when it sunk and my little guy freaked out and swam all over the place (they do sink pretty fast which is a plus, just watch where ya drop them)
