I use this instead of tomato paste for all my tomato based sauces I make. Love the flavour. Gives it a little more punch and Mediterranean taste.

Paste for stews etc
This is a very good product. Not sure how Turkish food uses it in their cooking. So, I have used it like I would a quality tomato puree (bit more used in each dish). It adds a little heat but not over the top. It thickens sauces. It add a lovely, subtle, flavour of bell peppers. Kept it refrigerated. Lots left to use later.

Big jar. I froze in ice cube trays as first jar i had went mouldy

Arrived damaged and moulded
As you can see from the photo, the pepper paste arrived in a leaked jar, where there were moulds around the jar. As I couldn't be asked to return a jar of food, had to bin it!

Tasty and versatile
Simply amazing, this product is so versatile have used it in toasties, pilafs, on pizzas, in baked goods as a dipping sauce and have even used it as a seasoning for meat. Adds a wonderful, nuanced flavour to dishes and a hint of spice.
