adapter does not work
The headset works fine, no complaints from people I'm talking to on the other end of the line. Just know that the adapter functions at about 50% or less volume, so you won't be able to hear well enough. I contacted the company and after weeks of waiting, they let me know that the better adapter has been discontinued. I bought this adapter and it seems to work well: https://smile.amazon.com/Smartphones-Carefully-Guarantee-Compatibility-Information/dp/B00T0ROWE4?pd_rd_w=6mN5N&pf_rd_p=a15db270-32ad-4779-96a2-b344c5e5baee&pf_rd_r=8GQBA0A0J046881R3S8J&pd_rd_r=b45d3f02-4367-49a8-a562-e0cd9659ce9d&pd_rd_wg=1w64I&pd_rd_i=B00T0ROWE4&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_rp_1_t

Love these! Adapters are junk though
I love this kind of headset and was happy to see them available so I grabbed two of them. The headsets work but the adapters they included are junk! Sad, for $30 a piece you'd think they would include an adapter that works.

Would be the best ever, if it was 3.5mm The adapter is crap though, so negates the quality.
A few years ago I got one of these that was for 3.5mm, and it was the absolute best earpiece for my phone... lasted forever, I still use it! But I wanted multiple... for car, office, bedroom, travel, etc. I liked it that much! But they don't seem to sell a direct 3.5 anymore, only this 2.5mm one with an adapter for 3.5 ... which is flimsy and breaks-up the sound or mic behavior randomly.I WISH they still made a direct 3.5, because the earpiece and mic are so comfortable to me!. This adapter thing is infuriating.I don't like bluetooth for long calls or while driving, because they eat up phone battery and make phone hotter, and they need charging, etc. This would be the best solution... if you need a 2.5mm. But if you need 3.5 like I do, good luck!

Meets my expectations & does include a 2.5mm-3.5mm adapter
I'm so glad to have found this! I first purchased one of these around 2001 at a Verizon Wireless store. It was the best earpiece I tried in terms of both comfort and function. Calls were more clear on both ends with this than with only the phone. 12 years later, it still works fine, but the rubber on it has largely disintegrated and become sticky. The clip to anchor the cord to my shirt is long gone. Time to get a new one, and this is the one for me. I've never liked Bluetooth earpieces, due to very weak microphones, the need to sync, the need for power, and the extra expense. This new one shipped FAST and seems to be an authentic Plantronics product packaged for Verizon Wireless. (Not one of the cheap fakes you can also find here on Amazon.) It's all black. (The old one was black and gray, but was otherwise identical.) Mine came with an extra foam earbud cover and an adapter for 3.5mm jacks that fits very snugly on the 2.5mm plug. (It seems some earlier reviewers didn't receive this for some reason.) This headset also features two items on the cord: a removable clip and a button for answering and ending calls (something the original headset didn't have). No volume controls, mute, etc. - just a very plain but supremely comfortable and usually dependable headset.Works fine with my iPhone 4.

Very good sound quality and comfort.
This set replace one that was about 8 years old and no longer made. It’s a little hard to get used to the way the ear piece works if you’re not familiar with it, but once you figure it out and get a comfortable fit it works very well. Sound quality is good at both ends of the conversation. Very light and not uncomfortable to wear for longer periods. Using it on pretty old Panasonic cordless and it’s been great.

No volume control
I purchased this recently to replace a great Plantronics headset that is no longer made. This headset is pretty good, but major flaw is the lack of volume control on it. I turn the volume on the phone to the lowest and still the headset is SO loud. Other than that, the fit is pretty good and lightweight.

Works ok, the boom adds very little to an inline microphone and is hard to adjust.
I got this one, and I got the one without the boom.Plantronics MX200 FlexGrip Universal Earbud HeadsetI like the one where the microphone is in the wire more than the one with the microphone on the earpiece. The boom seems nice, but it grabs in the pocket, and is hard to adjust to not look totally crazy, sticking out to the side. And, the in line microphone sounds every bit as good as the boom microphone. For simplicity, get the Plantronics MX200 FlexGrip Universal Earbud HeadsetIf you insist on a boom, get thisAnd, it is not wireless

Excellent headset - now that I have the right version
Originally bought the version that comes with a 2.5mm connector and a 3.5mm adapter from Cellular Hookup. This version didn't work with my Galaxy S4, or now my new S7 phone. I assume now that this model works with a different impedance. Cellular Hookup did contact me and sent me a replacement version that had a 3.5mm connector with a 2.5mm adapter. This replacement worked perfectly and now have a great headset that sounds clear and people can hear me perfectly. Thank you Cellular Hookup for helping me get a working product for my model phone. It also came with replacement ear sponges which I very much appreciate. I suggest people buy this model headset for exceptional phone sound on both ends - these are much better than Bluetooth models since they never have reception issues, never have to be charged, and never need to be paired. Just make sure you get the connector size that your phone has.
