SCI Scandicrafts Fluted Deep Tart/Quiche Mold, Removable Bottom 8-inch Diameter by 1.75-inch Deep

I've never had a tart/quiche pan before. The quality seems very good and my quiche turned out beautiful! BUT the edges of these pans are SHARP and they will cut you! They have to be hand washed (not a good thing), and while I was washing them, I cut my fingers twice (also not a good thing), bad enough that they bled! I will be looking to see if I can find pans with finished edges, because these are raw edges. The pics are after the quiche was removed from the pan.

These are nice quiche pans, but they are not 8" diameter as described. Instead, they are 7.75" (at most) at the top rim of the pan. So, be aware when purchasing.

When I saw it, was not expecting that this is big for my intended rice cake. Be careful cause the edges are abit sharp since it's made from stainless steel. I didn't return cause I made a good use of it anyway.

Easy to use, crust released easily, and cleaned up well. Good weight and rigid.

Thomas Keller said that a quiche should be baked in a 2-inch deep pan to achieve the right texture. When I purchased this pan, I couldn't locate an 8-inch pan with a 2-inch depth. This pan is close to that depth and the size is perfect for the quiches that we like to bake. It bakes evenly and is a cinch to clean. The removable bottom is a great feature.

Found it so difficult to find a really deep (2 inches) but medium sized (8 inches) quiche tin and here's the answer. Loose base too - perfect.Suitable not just for classic but also bulkier vegetable quiches which don't fit in today's skimpy ever shallower tins.Great for cheesecakes too. Tin has lovely finish and fluted edge. Whatever type of quiche or cheesecake produced in this has a wonderful texture and looks beautiful.Delighted with it.

I got this for an elderly lady who had been searching for a tin to replace the one she had. I ordered it and it arrived at her house the next day. She was absolutely thrilled.
