The Bluetooth OBD2 scanner works great! I previously had a WiFi version from a different company and though it worked good, it came with several inconveniences. Such as, when connected to it via WiFi you couldn’t use the internet at the same time to look something up because there was no data. That problem was completely alleviated after switching to Bluetooth! This one is also small in comparison to my last one. My last one also had a bunch of really bright lights that blinked and flickered while in use, which made it really annoying during the night!The only bad thing is you really need to read the directions when setting up this scanner. I use it with the OBD Fusion app and when you set up this scanner you don’t connect to it through your Bluetooth settings on your phone... instead you go to the preferences on the app and switch it from WiFi to Bluetooth and it connects automatically on its own! Took me about 5 minutes to decide to go back inside and get the directions. They were super easy to understand and once I read through them I had it connected to my car in less than a minute!

So I was a little skeptical as the last one I bought (10.00) cheap knockoff didn’t work, super frustrating... so I decided to spend a little more, this one hooked right up to “car scanner” app I was reading codes and freeze frame data instantly, no problems connecting, not a terrible lag time between gauges on dash and gauges on phone, I’m using iPhone 10 XS Max spend the $$$ and see everything you ever wanted to see about your vehicles telemetry... only thing that didn’t work for me is trans temp, can read it on vehicle but not on app...

The only issue I have with this product is that I wished it had Bluetooth with the WIFI connectivity because when I want to search up a code, I have to disconnect from the adapter. Apart from that the scan tool works fine. I'm able to download the apps I want to use and scan for codes and view live stream data. It works well with most of the apps I use on the Android Playstore. I even use it on my headunit sometimes while I drive to look at live stream data and read long term and short term fuel trims etc. I own a Mazda car and it works well with Mazda vehicles, I also use it on Hondas and Toyotas and it works well. I even clear lights on the dash of cars and had no issues doing so. If you use the right apps to connect to it you can also get freeze frame data if a code was chipped. Great. Highly recommended.

I needed a replacement OBD2 adapter after Automatic forcibly broke their functional first gen adapters. After a lot of research, I settled on this one because it's one of few that connects to Apple devices over bluetooth instead of wifi. It works great - connection time is longer than the Automatic and the features available are determined by both your vehicle and the app you choose to use. For that reason, my review is based not on app functionality. I'm giving this 5 stars based on its ability to connect with Apple devices and communicate with your choice of app.

Apparently, these dongles are generic. The recommended Google app failed. It kept crashing. So did another version by someone else. Finally, the third version by yet another vendor was perfect. The software app that worked for me was Car Doctor. It found an error code and I reset it. It didn't come right back so no trip to a mechanic or dealer. So the device saved me money on the first use. Well, worth the money but the included app could be a lot better.

Excellent tool when used with the right software. I was able to not only determine what was wrong with my car and fix it. I was also able to take a better look at performance and log data. Hopefully this information will yield areas I need to keep an eye one to resolve any issues before they become issues.

I highly recommend AGAINST using this. I bought it to try on my MY 2014 Volt and when I plugged it in, it caused everything to light up in the dash and the car to go crazy.It also helped set some non resetable codes (at least not with what I have) which thankfully went away after a while.A TOTAL disappointment after having used the wifi version (original not improved) which worked like a beauty with my Volt.Returned and got my money back. Stay away.

I have a Bluetooth version of the device and had very hard time to make it work with DashComm. Send email to the company and got very quick response explaining that Bluetooth version works with OBD Fusion. Got this app and worked instantly. Great little device and great service. Thank you!
