Creative Haven Birds and Blossoms Coloring Book (Adult Coloring Books: Animals) Paperback – March 20, 2019

I have nearly all of Marjorie Sarnat's books, even two or three of some that I have also bought at the store near my house. I've also given these books to my daughter and my granddaughters. They are fun to color in, the art isn't to big cuz I love the smaller stuff to color. But not so intricate that it would drive you crazy. I ordered this Birds and Blossoms from Amazon then I found it first at the store near my house so I bought it even though I'm expected the one I pre ordered way back in November sometime today. LOL I guess I couldn't wait. As usual its a beautiful book...I wish she had one with more birdhouses but this one is great anyway. It will be fun to color in. I'm going to preorder her other one that is coming out...its one with Mermaids. Love them all. Keep them coming cuz I don't just stop at one purchase!! LOL Great books!! She had one out, the FIRST Fanciful Fashions book but I didn't get it in time and I haven't seen it since. I really wish she would print some more of that one. I would love to have it!! I am just learning this. I have purchased several how to books and have learned a lot from those. Right now the biggest help to me has been to use books like this. There are already colored pics from the book on both sides of the front and back covers. That makes 4 teaching pages. I try to duplicate what i see--although i do change the colors sometimes. This book has very nice pics all the way through. I wish i could find a coloring book that had already colored pages of every picture included. I think these have helped me a lot.

It's gorgeous, with lots of possibilities for coloring simply or using every skill open to the colorer, and you can be a beginner or an expert colorist and still enjoy the drawings. I will definitely order more to give as gifts to friends. I bought a second book for myself as I want to try multiple color schemes on the pictures, as it IS one of my most favorite coloring books -- and I have a lot of coloring books :-)

Very nice artwork and fairly thick paper. Pages easy enough to remove . Good variety.

Lovely coloring book. I have a good number of Creative Haven books. Good quality. Printed on one page. I mainly use colored pencils so no issues. Will need either a presealant or a mat behind the page you are coloring on if using markers. Alcohol markers less likely to bleed but it can still happen. I found chopping mats 2 for $1 at the Dollar Tree that are perfect to protect your picture that is behind the one you are working on. Will continue to purchase more from CH.

I ordered Birds and Blossoms coloring book for my elderly mother who has fallen in love with coloring. She says it relaxes her. The pictures are so very pretty. She was excited to get it in her hands today and is likely coloring in it this very minute. Lol.

I love the variety and whimsical attributes of this coloring book.Pros: Worth the price (in my opinion), plenty of variety to choose from. Paper comes out easily.Cons: paper quality is a little waxy. My colored pencils (and me) had a hard time with color distribution and shading. BUT, not enough for me to dismiss it nor give it less than 5 stars.
