JBL Professional 1 Series 104-BT Compact Desktop Reference Monitors with Bluetooth, White, Sold as Pair, 4.5-inch Speaker

These are very fine desktop monitor speakers:Pros:They look awesome (I have the white pair, but they come in black as well). The design, while reminiscent of a giant suppository, stands out visually.They are SOLID. Everything about them feels very secure -- so probably, no rattling problems will occur.I doubt they are made of wood (not in that shape!) and whatever material they are using for the enclosure feels solid and firm.They sound very CRISP, CLEAR, and have a good thumping bass.The mid-range is a bit hollow at first, but as the speakers age and condition, this should work itself out. I think it is common to all NEW speakers and even headphones.They have plenty of volume, no problems there.They have excellent stereo separation, making a wide stereo sound stage, even when only a few feet apart.Hook-up was easy. They come with speaker wire, a power cable and a 3.5mm male to two RCA male (red and white) cable to connect to a computer.They also have 1/4" TRS type inputs, as well as Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm input jack on the front, as well as a muting headphone jack. I haven't tried the bluetooth, so I don't know how they perform, with it.CONS:None really.They could sound a bit warmer, but that will come in time through use.OVERALL:A great set of speakers at an affordable price for computer studio monitors.Great for mixing music and vocals into a video.I like them.

I purchased these speakers a year ago to listen to music, and to watch YouTube and movies on my iPad and laptop monitor when working in my home office. These are fantastic speakers with a solid build! I decided to take a moment and write this review because I had never cranked up the volume before until tonight as I usually keep them at a low volume so I can concentrate. Well, man! I should be using these in my living room because they sound great cranked up. The bass, which is mild when the volume is low really punches when the volume is high. The sound is crisp and clear and music sounds really wonderful. NOTE: other reviews have complained about the loud chime when connecting to Bluetooth or switching between devices, however, I find the chime turns off if you set the “INPUT SELECT” to “ALL MODE.” And some have complained about the wires being loose but I have not experienced that. Everything works well and these speakers are heavy with a very solid build in my opinion. The tweeter is placed in the center of the speaker like KEFF speakers and I think that adds tremendously to the excellent quality of the sound. Bluetooth works great too! I highly recommend these for anyone who wants good bass and awesome clarity in their music.

I bought these to put on each side of my bed. The sound is pretty good but that alarming start- up sound is STRESSFUL and it doesn't get softer if you turn the volume knob down. I can't imagine what jbl was thinking. Also I wish the wire that connects them to each other were a bit longer. They JUST make it from one side of my bed to the other (but I don't think they were meant for that, so...) Aside from that, I like these speakers, I think their quality is good.

Great little monitors. The sound is great, they're replacing an older set of 5's. The wireless is great but the connection noise is LOUD. Other than that, they're great.

I LOVE the sound quality...when the speakers are working right. Connection issues with the wired connection, defective connectors on the second speaker, very CHEAPLY made (CHEAP) and others have complained about this as well. Wires connect loosely and rattle, like static because the connection is so loose.I can't really believe JBL would produce suck a crappy quality connector with such a good reputation for their speakers. I'll think twice next time with my speaker purchase.

Great little desktop monitors. They are stylish and put out a detailed and full sound with fantastic vocal clarity and great stereo imaging. These are not going to rattle your walls with their bass response, so if you are looking for something that will look for something larger or consider adding a sub

The build quality is pretty good, doesn't feel or sound cheap. Comes with a variety of connectivity options but no optical cable which is not an issue for me. Overall the speakers are a great value.

I love these speakers - the look, the sound is also good for computer speakers but it is difficult to switch between devices - iphone, computer to computer, etc.
