Great Cabinet
Overall, I am highly satisfied with this product. After reading several other reviews, I was concerned about the assembly process. More specifically, the amount of time it would take to put together, and whether or not the included doors would function as designed. That said, my wife and I were able to assemble this unit in about three hours. While this is a little long, I attribute it to the fact that there are a lot of screws, dowels, and cam locks that are installed by hand. This alone takes a certain amount of time. The instructions were clear and direct and easy to follow. When the package was delivered, it was definitely a heavy box and required the use of a dolly to bring it into the house, because I was working alone. Everything arrived in tact and undamaged. All parts in the package are clearly labeled with numbered stickers, which made organizing pieces for installation a bit easier. Once assembled the end, result was consistent with the pictures presented at purchase. The only notes I have for installation was that I needed slightly more wood glue for the included dowels. I also had to make minor adjustments to the door hinges to help them align correctly. If I had just attach the doors, there would have been capping, but the style of hinge allows for correcting adjustments, which solved any potential issues.

Attractive and Functional
I've assembled many pieces of furniture in my day and I'd say this was the most labor intensive. When it arrived I parked the carton in my dining room and went about procrastinating. I'd slated to use this as an accent piece in my dining area as opposed to a media cabinet. After staring at it for 2 weeks I decided it wasn't going to assemble itself. So I went for it. And I must say, when finished it does look nice and is as advertised. But let me convey what you're in for. First I'll state the pros:When I opened the carton I was amazed at the sheer genius that went into packing all the components. I mean it was a masterclass in shipping a product. I read a lot of reviews where customers received this product with damaged parts. Well, the seller must have got it figured out because I couldn't see any way for damage to occur the way this thing was packed. Upon removing everything I could see every piece clearly marked with a little white sticker bearing a number. And when I open the hardware box I found much the same. A number of clear sealed bags with letter stickers attached to each. They even included a "spare parts" bag which had a variety of pieces in case some other bag was short. The cabinet components felt heavy and sturdy. Everything was clearly marked and there was a generous assembly guide as well. The illustrations were clear and sequenced step by step, page by page. They recommend assembly by 2 adults but I was able to handle it solo. Now for the cons: You're going to need considerable space to work on this. I was able to spread out fairly well which allowed me to organize what came out of the carton. I laid out all the pieces with their identifying stickers face up. I had a separate counter just for the bags or hardware needed. You will end up with a lot of cardboard, foam and other waste. The assembly was pretty straight forward. I had the time - so I took my time. I'd say it was a 6 hour project from beginning to end. On the high side of time commitment from what I'm used to. Everything has to be put together; the drawers, the doors, the pull hardware. Nothing is a gimme. You have to force the drawers in somewhat the first time, then they slide in and out normal. Plan on spending some time installing and adjusting all the door hinges to get things lined up right. Once the cabinet was completed came the task of removing all the little stickers from the parts. This is where I became frustrated. The stickers did not come off easily and left glue residue in many locations. I don't know, maybe the cartons sit in a warm warehouse for months on end and allow the adhesive to bond with the parts. I did get the residue off, but I spent way too much time on that task. The glass was fairly dirty with a film on them - so Windex was needed to clear those up.I would have given this product 5 stars except for how long it takes to assemble, and a few other ticky tack things that were annoying. In the end, it's a nice piece of furniture for the price and will serve the room well. I may put 6" furniture legs on it to elevate the height - but I can do that down the road if desired. The area underneath where legs would attach will need some reinforcement - so I have to think that through before I attempt anything.

Beautiful peice
We love this peice. It was difficult to assemble and it did have some quality concerns, but it costs less than many other sideboards so I would say that quality to cost matches. We were also able to work with customer service to resolve the issues. It looks gorgeous once together and does not look cheap once assembled.

WARNING! DON’T BUY! Broken base board
Paid way to much for this but I fell in love with it and nothing else compared as I shopped for a sideboard. I ordered it June 27 and it arrived July 15. Opened the box and found the instruction booklet. Everything seemed to be packed well. Nice and tight with protection at each level. There are several pieces and so I marked them off one by one as we took them out of the box. So excited to finally get this piece and be able to admire it in my home. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen soon. Board #2, which is the base of the sideboard is spilt, cracked, broken…. Along with my heart. I’m super bummed. Laying the board flat on the floor, it’s also twisted.I submitted a request right away to get the board replaced. One spot at their website said 1-2 days response. Another spot said 3-5 days. The automated email I got after submitting said 7-10 days because they are backlogged. So now I have it completely unpacked and cluttering my house for who knows how long. On top of that, I don’t dare throw out the box and packaging in case I have to ship the whole thing back.Just really not pleased and hope the manufacture will get me the replacement part super fast. It just cost too much to have this kind of issue.I’ll update after dealing with the manufacture.UPDATE: I sent a message through the manufacturer’s link on July 15th. An email response finally came on August 1st. The response said the part is out of stock. “Per our arrangement with Amazon they have asked that when a part is out of stock, we direct their customers to them for further assistance.” So I’m not the manufacturer’s customer I guess. As far as the product goes, we put it together during this waiting time because we hopped the board would get replaced. The quality is terrible. I don’t see how it’s suppose to hold 150 lbs. Put together, it’s a little wobbly and I’m not sure the doors are cut big enough. It’s like they are a 1/8 inch too short all the way around. We have adjusted them several times. The drawers are with the cheapest drawer pulls I’ve ever seen. There are sooooo many parts. It took two of us almost 6 hours to put it together.I contacted Amazon who was willing to either give me discount or I could return the item for full refund. Because I no longer had the shipping box, I couldn’t return it. This lead into a whole issue. If the board is not going to be replaced, I don’t want broken furniture that cost me over $650.00 sitting in my dining room. That is just not okay with me. I had to keep not accepting this resolution. Finally, I got to someone who said let me call the manufacturer and see what they can do. After all, it’s on them to begin with. They confirmed they don’t have the part. They can’t even replace the entire unit until November. How can you still have this item for sale when you can’t fill the order? Amazon is making it right and has issued a special order pickup where I don’t have to disassemble the item and find a box big enough. Thanks to Amazon for this resolution because this is what is fair to me.When I purchased this order, I read the available reviews. The ones that discussed broken parts or their experiences dealing with the manufacturer was not in the review list. Even though they had already been submitted. It’s as if they were hidden. I have filed a complaint against the manufacturer and requested their items not be sold on Amazon. Who knows how far that will go. I demand better quality especially when I’m spending this much money. Walker Edison product is garbage! Their customer service is garbage! Do not buy!
