They don’t sell this pure form of Coca Butter in stores any more. These come in a chip/wafer form. I am not sure why this product is getting any negative reviews. These are chips not a block. The chips make it easier to measure and melt small amounts to add to any recipe. I used them to make lotion bars. Also good in food recipes. The cocoa butter chip smell devine. I prefer the chips over a block. With a block of cocoa you will need to heat a knife to cut through it or shave it in to chips any way. I think the negative reviews are from people that do not understand what they are purchasing. I will continue to buy this product due to pureness and cost per ounce.

I use this to make lotions that are all natural. This works great in lotions. However, as with all cocoa butter, there is a scent that overpowers even essential oils that are added. The smell is fresh and pleasant, to me, and the lotion almost smells edible (don't eat it), so I do add it when I'm not making a certain aroma in my lotions. However, if you don't like the scent to over power, don't add it. I've used this on it's own and in lotions. Is makes my hands and skin feel so soft and not chapped. I live where it's cold and dry, so moisturizing is important to me and cocoa butter does the job mixed and on it's own. I actually should have ordered a larger package as this is used up quickly for me. Great product, but do be aware there is a scent that not everybody enjoys!

The media could not be loaded. First time buying any type of cocoa. They sent a little more than 16oz; it's thin chunks, some of it was pretty crumbled. It has a very strong chocolate smell, for me thats not an issue but if anyone is looking for non-scented that's a con. I don't have much to compare it to. When moving it with my hands, it slightly starts to melt, nothing too greasy once it's rubbed in.

I ordered this cocoa butter because it is pure, unrefined, and raw because I wanted to use it to make a body butter for someone who has psoriasis and needs the moisture, but whom also has sensitive skin. I wanted them to have a product that could leave their skin super hydrated, and without itchiness, rashes, or other irritations adding to their psoriasis discomfort. I combined the cocoa butter with pure unrefined shea butter and some other essential oils for a nice scent and additional benefits to the skin. They absolutely loved it! The texture is perfect once melted and cooled. It whips up to be a real nice thick butter, that melts with the warmth of your skin temperature! I have made lots since giving it to them for the first time to try, and I even use it on my own skin!

I love this cocoa butter; I've been purchasing this for years. I wanted to purchase more, but the price is so high now I can't afford it. I first purchased it at $13, the last time was $16, and now it's $30. They can keep it, I'll have to find an alternative, cause I am not buying this!
