Saw this item and it looked excellent for the price. I have two GardePro's already and this looked very similar and it was when it arrived. Speaking to seller the however, this camera is wide angle and I would agree, it captures more than a GardePro.Problem number 1: The camera takes good clear photos but the video footage is much darker as can be seen in photos. Contacted seller and asked if they had a firmware upgrade which they kindly sent me. Made no difference.Problem number 2: Unlike the GardePro this camera is LOW GLOW and not NO GLOW. I wanted this for surveillance so this was a worry. Admittedly, there are 3 settings for the IR's and even on the highest the glow is barely visible unless you are standing straight under the camera so this was acceptable.Problem number 3: The camera was taking way too many photos of nothing! Turned the PIR setting to Medium and this was better but in windy weather (even after removing the washing line) , because the camera is moving it triggers constantly leaving me with hundreds of photos and footage of (you got it) - absolutely nothing. None of my other cameras (3 in total and 2 different brands) have this issue.Problem number 4: No sound which I could have lived with.Problem number 5: If you are putting this in a case (which is available on Amazon) and are mounting it on a piece of wood with brackets as I do to attach to the fascia of the house, it will not fit in the case unless you use a router to accommodate the protruding plastic at the back of the camera. This took me half a day resolving this problem and as it turns out, all for nothing.I am returning this item which seemed a good deal but has caused me nothing but grief. Shout out to the sellers as they tried their best and communicated with me to try and resolve the problem (and this is why I give 3 stars and not 2) but alas, best to return it before I attack it with a hammer - lol.

Evident once you open the box, this is going to be a fun camera to use!For starters, this camera comes with almost everything needed except batteries (or mains adapter - but we’ll come on to that in a bit). Instructions (but not really needed), usb cable and strap (to aid fixing to trees, drain pipes etc).It does take a hefty amount of AA batteries - 8 to be precise. The bonus though is that it’s only using a small amount of power to the infrared sensor to detect motion and it’s not continually recording.It has a built in screen for playback which can be accessed by opening the clam shell clasps. Useful to assess if it’s worth taking the video or carrying on and overwriting - or to quickly test. The connector for a mains adapter could be useful when used in an internal space but to practical outside for most uses. Luckily it’s on the underside as it’s exposed making this device not fully waterproof.There is also an exposed mini usb connection. Mini usb is kind of dead now so it’s surprising to see it used in favour of micro or even usb C. Again exposed but located on the bottom. So bear in mind when positioning the camera. Also a shame is the memory card slot is the older style SD card so you’ll need an adapter for micro sd cards to use it.Quality is fairly good. It’s a useful camera for wildlife watching or to check what’s been coming into your garden etc. For the money it’s difficult not to give this full stars as it’s a bit of a bargain overall.
