Excellent product!
When I bought the Zero Water filter and pitcher last year, I bought the tester that just flashed red if the water was not pure. But I wanted an exact readingr and could not be more pleased with this one, which features a digital readout -- both Zero Water testers. With the digital meter, before I filtered my tap water through the Zero Water filter, the reading showed 207 ppm of dissolved solids. When I tested it with my new meter after being filtered, it read ZERO. I sure save a huge amount of money not buying bottled water!

Very nice meter
This was an excellent replacement for the zero water meter. It reads the same, and very simple to use. When it reads 006, it is time to change the water filter. I am very satisfied with this product, and highly recommend it. Also the price is nice.

SIMPLE & USEFUL
This TDS tester is easy to use and provides useful readings. Although I cannot verify the accuracy of any particular reading I tend to think it's reliable because I've tested several types of drinking water (tap water, spring water, flavored water with known mineral additives) and the comparative readings make lots of sense. Readings do seem to be affected by changes in water temperature. Auto shut-off protects battery life.

Works great
It works great. We live in Las Vegas and the water sucks. My frig filter tests around 500ppm. Reverse osmosis from sears was about 20ppm. These both had new filters and a water company came out and also tested them. He said they are within spec if under 600. I wasn't sure on this until I tested it in distilled water and it came up with a "0". I would highly recommend it.

If you have a Zero Water pitcher system, you need this
If you have the Zero water pitcher system, you must have one of these. We tested our local water and found the untreated water had mineral numbers over 300. We then tested the water from a PuR and the number went down to 200. With the Zero water, it went to, well, Zero! However, the Zero system tells you to change the filter when the number reaches 6. However, if you're the least bit careless and drip a few drops of tap water in past the filter, the number shoots up quickly. This is the only way we know to ensure we're drinking properly treated water every time.Recommended
