My skin seems to stay hydrated with this soap after showering. I'm really happy about that. I'm slowly seeing a nice increase in maintaining moisture also. My eczema seems to have a positive reaction to it. I'm extremely happy with that aspect with this product. No crazy smells or irritation for people like myself with sensitive skin. I don’t usually use bar soaps of any kind but I’m glad I purchased this soap. It’s is very beneficial for evening out my skin tone, treating hyperpigmentation on black skin, and acts fast to relieve my backne. I recommend to use an African black soap with this. The smell is very neutral and it leaves your skin feeling satisfied. When I bathe in the evening I use this and just air dry after and I don’t feel the residue that I am use to when using bar soaps. I cut my bar in half and the bar has been lasting because it has a really good lather. Will continue to purchase in the future.

I've been wanting to try this out for years and finally got it yesterday. I couldn't believe how clean and smooth my face felt after using it: of course, I put it inside a loofah-like scrub to avoid direct apply. Today I showered with it, and let me tell you that your need of bulky and expensive skincare is gone with this soap. Gentle, no scent, and you see instantly how my pores were opened, my skin was smooth, and I haven't had my usual oily face and dry skin elsewhere. I applied an unscented, hypoalergenic body lotion after shower and I feel renewed. 100% recommend. Imma give away all my cleansers now!

Previously, I used a liquid African black soap. The smell was delightful, and the soap was good. But I was growing concerned about the six empty plastic containers that just went into the environment each year so I decided to try the bar soap.After reading many reviews, I settled on this brand. I chose the single bar because it had next day delivery and I was keen to try it. I cut the bar in half, put 1/2 into the fridge, and started using the other half which is a normal soap bar size. Someone else had noted just how very soft the bar got. And that is correct. When I was using the bath soap. It was dripping globes of soap into the sink. Which is not good for the drainage and it’s a waste of the product. So I purchased one of those wood bar soap, drainer holders, and that now sits in the window of my bathroom. As you can see from the photos once the bar loses the excess water it shrivels down in size.This soap lathers up beautifully, and with my northern European Scottish skin I have had no dry issues – even though my skin is usually a little dry.It leaves my sling squeaky clean, very soft and moisturized.This bar has a very faint smell, it’s nice but not very noticeable.I do slightly miss the fresh smell of my liquid soap but neither I, nor future generations will be looking at my plastic waste floating in the water supply so I’m happy about that.Why did you pick this product vs others?:No bulky plastic. African black soap is great.

The African black soap was a large size bar. It will last for a long time. My face felt very clean after using,but squeaky clean. My skin was tight and a little dry afterward. This soap would be great for oily skin. It definitely brightens my skin.
