Saim QP2-4R7 4.7 Ohm Refrigerator 1 Pin PTC Starter Relay Black Pack of 2

Bought a used mini fridge (180 new) at a flea market for $20 because it did not work. Checked it out and found this was the part that was bad. Installed and now fridge works like new.

The most common cause of most mini fridge and wine fridge cooling issues is a malfunctioning start relay. The two most common start relays are 4.7 ohm resistance with either 1 pin or 2 pin connectors. This QP2-4RT has a 1 pin connector. Replacement of a faulty start relay is fairly simple as it is usually readily accessible in the back of a fridge. It may be under a cover that must be removed first. Once located, simply remove the wire connector to the relay pin, then release the tabs that secure the relay in position and remove it. Replace the defective relay with new one and reverse the steps of the removal procedure.

I bought this product to replace the switch in my Magic Chef freezer. It was a legitimate part and it did work for 2 months before it quit. I don't know if it was the switch itself or if something else in the freezer caused it to fail. But it did keep me from having to buy a new freezer for a couple months, which I'm grateful for.

Worked like a charm. Easily able to replace the old one. Within half an hour the fridge came back to life.
