Cheap and easy to install
I've bought 4 of these lights to replace older emergency fixtures. They use more durable batteries and are led lights. Almost cheaper than buying new batteries for the old fixtures. Plus I didn't realize how yellowed the old one had become till I replaced them.

READ REVIEW (UPDATED 11/30/23)
I ordered the 2 pack. The shipping was fast but one of the lights arrived broken. I contacted the seller and they agreed to replace the light but, not the battery. I would need to transfer that old battery to the new light they sent out. Yeah, good lucky with that. The "tabs" that open the battery area must be designed to break when you open them. Both of mine did. But, I was still optimistic, I figured I could rig them up to look good. I installed them, wired them up, and guess what? Neither of the lights work. Both have charged for 24+ hours and the test button causes the lights to flash and that's it, dead.Save your money or look for something of better quality. The plastic these are made of hard the same tensile strength as a Styrofoam cup.****UPDATE****The company contacted me shortly after this review and replaced the light. I have had them installed well over a year and they all still work.About a month ago the power went out and all the lights stayed on for the entire duration of the outage.I have since purchased another set of these lights and they seem to have changed the packaging to better protect the light housing.Moral of the story: Not the best matrial used to make the housing but I can definitely vouch for the longevity of the lights once they are installed. Batteries seem to last forever.***Update 11/8/21***I still have all the original lights installed and they all work well. I test the lights once every 3 months and have had zero problems. I would definitely buy again in the future.****Update 11/30/23****The lights (I have 6 sets total) are still working great. During hurricane Idalia the lights came on immediately when the power went out and stayed on for about 6-7 hours. They have now been installed for roughly 3 years and every light is still working great. All lights are hardwired into outlets.

Fragile but do the job
The fixture worked fine and was a good value but was difficult to get open. Having dealt with this type of fixture I was very gentle with the two tabs to open the fixture to get at the inside and connect the battery. Still I broke 3 out of the 4 tabs because they are so brittle. One fixture lamp holder was also broken when received. I contacted the company and sent them a picture and they replaced the fixture and I had the replacement in about 3 days. Very happy with their service. Also on this replacement I used a very hot wet wash cloth to warm up the tabs and was able to carefully open the tabs without breaking.

Great bang for your buck.
I had to replace a halogen emergency light and came across these lights. For the price, I figured I’d give it a shot. Glad I did. Half the price of the light I replaced and I got 2 lights. So, actually 1/4 the price of a halogen light. Pro’s: very easy replacement , very easy mounting , lite weight (small battery) and the light heads are adjustableCon’s: small batteryIn general, for the price these light cannot be beat. They aren’t the brightest, but definitely sufficient as an emergency light. Will definitely purchase more when I need additional replacements.

A big improvement over the old, lead-acid batteries, and easy to install.
This light is used for illuminating hallways and exits in the case of power outage. It shines beautiful, white light, lit in the picture by the test button. The unit is easily installed, at least if replacing a prior, similar light. It does require that one have a familiarity with the basics of electrical wiring and connections. The most important part of that is to make sure that the circuit has been turned off before removing and while replacing such fixtures. The best way to do that is with a volt meter. I replaced two of these fixtures. The first one took 15 minutes, the second 10 minutes. The biggest task is attaching the mounting plate to the wall using the supplied screws and inserts for those.

Simple, cheap, easy enough to install
Oh, you simply pull the thing apart. One of them required a tremendous amount of force.Had to "fix" a few exit signs in the workplace. It seemed easier to buy entire replacement assemblies than to source the random bulbs or replace broken test switches. It probably took more time to remove the old things than install these. But among the varied methodologies previous electricians employed, the hardest work I had to do was use a step drill bit on one of the 4 locations I fixed. These are cheap, sure, but fairly well made. I'm an electrical engineer and also a product designer. A good bit of thought went into making these and I feel you're getting great value based on the cost and what you're delivered. A negative review complained about longevity - so get a new cheap RC battery. Or a whole replacement assembly. No biggie. If you're doing a new installation, you probably want a proper light box already there to mount this to.
