Sturdier than it looks!
When I was taking the pieces out of the box, I was a little concerned that because the backboard was thin, it would not hold up well when I had it fully assembled. Putting it together was a breeze, although I did not follow the directions exactly as outlined as I felt it was better to place the pegs in before removing the adhesive strips. All in all, it only took me well under 10 minutes to do the first one (as I read directions before beginning), but the second one took me about 5 minutes. I do feel it was a bit pricy, but I am very happy with the quality and the way the product looks (I like the butcher block finish!) and both are serving their purpose. I might buy a couple more now that I know they are good size cube and the assembly was super simple! Very happy!

The Cheapest Made Thing I've ever received from Amazon
I don't write reviews often, and felt that this needed to be said, but this is the cheapest made thing I've received or used from Amazon, and that says a LOT.I'm all for the dedication to using recycled goods in attempting to build and maintain shelving. On paper (recycled or not) it sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, it's everything else where these organizers fall apart, both literally and figuratively. The pieces of this storage cube are all made up of recycle paper stacked together and condensed to be lightweight and similar to how IKEA uses cork board. However, when attempting to connect these items to the other, you are given small dow rods (similar to IKEA) and a set of double sided tape to bind everything together. It works about as well as a student science fair setup. The double sided tape does not stick well, and the company should have used the Heavy Duty Mounting Tape that is sold by 3M. Instead, they're using the poster board tape that barely holds print outs to poster board, let alone a something that is supposed to be stackable and "hold a small amount of weight."There are no screws in this disaster of an organizer, and with the limited amount of support elsewhere, there really should be. The pieces don't lock together, so there's always going to be a gap between the sides so you will hear a creek in the poster board tape that they use every time something is put into the storage. If you're thinking about using this with the walls of the storage pointed up, don't even think about it, or you will see the sides split apart every time you put something in it.In closing, if you want something with better support and cheap, a cardboard box might have better consistency. If you want something a little bigger with more support, just make the order to IKEA.Otherwise, this is the cheapest made thing I've ever purchased on Amazon, and it shows.

Cute box and super easy to assemble.
After I watched a video on assembling a Way Basics storage cube, I decided to buy two. It's eco-friendy and safe, so I thought, "Why not?" It really is easy to put together. I spent maybe 5 minutes each. The downsides are that the backer board is thin cardboard and it doesn't cover the entire back. It's 2 mm shorter on each side, so if the adhesive tape is all the way on the edge of the side boards, then the backer board won't cover it and dirt might get stuck on the adhesive on the edges.I'm using these cubes to convert my desk to a standing desk. I was initially search for standing desk converters and they are so expensive! Instead, I used two of these put together side by side to boost up my keyboard and mouse and they are working great. They are just the right height. My monitor is sitting on a shelf. This was a great alternative to buying a standing desk converter for me.

Very easy to assemble, BUT do it right the first time
Very light and SO easy to assemble. However, make sure to assemble it correctly the first time because since it uses 3m adhesive instead of hardware it is VERY difficult to take apart and do over again. I accidentally put the backer board on backwards (the back side is white instead of mocha so it looked weird). When I tried to take it off to re-assemble, the tape (which is really strong) ripped the backer board and parts of the cube shelf. It's in the back, so not a big deal (and I'm an idiot for doing it wrong because it is so easy to put together). So, just as a warning; it will be a big pain to try and re-assemble if it's not done correctly the first time. I had to use my double sided tape (which is not nearly as strong) to put the backer board on since I messed up and the 3m ripped off. Also, it doesn't look like "high-end" furniture or anything; the edges clearly show the laminate and are a little white. Still looks nice, though, in my opinion and I'm not picky with that sort of thing. I would say this is good for a college dorm or apartment or any other setting for "temporary" or not super high-end furniture. My mom. for example, would not be okay with it bc she likes nicer quality (real solid wood, etc.) furniture. It's also really strong. I put a 15-20lb mirror on it and use it as a stand since I can't hang my mirror on the wall and needed it to be elevated. It holds up perfectly and looks like it can handle much more weight than that if needed.I'm very happy with this purchase. It works very well for my purposes and it being an "eco-friendly" product is an additional bonus.

Needs reinforcement
Needs better system to hold it together. The material and size are good. But it's only held together by double sided tape. As soon as my grandson put his backpack on it, it came apart. His backpack is heavier than the other kids - but not THAT much. We like it enough that we're going to use some L brackets to fix it.
