These work perfectly
Not sure why other people have had issues with these they fully clamp Down you need to make sure you pull the ring as tight as you can to grip it barrel on the lens then hold your thumb on it and screw down the lever then wiggle it a bit to align it perfectly, this will work better on video lenses as they have bigger focus rings and tend to have a more grippy focus ring even with gears sometimes, I found this to hold better on my vintage lens and works like a charm. There’s nothing wrong with it on a ring that just goes round and round you just need to make sure you have space for this on your rig or cage.Big thumbs up from me will be getting a few more for my Sony A7 cameras.

Not very strong
I had hoped the blue metal rod would wind up the rack and so tighten it. Unfortunately, it only locks it when you have pulled it tight. Probably OK for a camera lens, but no use for a stiff magnification ring.

To floppy and wobbly Buy a decent one. If you can find one.
