it works on dark hair and keeps it feeling soft/healthy.
So the first photo after I dyed my hair a few days ago with red box bye on hazelnut brown Virgin hair the last three are all with Brad’s hair dye. Considering I did not have to use any bleach or developer. It did come out very well. It wasn’t the exact red I was wanting, but I still love it. I’m probably gonna keep this for about a month. My hair feels softer and healthier. I did leave it on longer than 20 minutes. I think I did about 30 minutes. I wrapped a bag around my head to keep everything moist when I was rinsing. I did have to bleach my bathtub afterwards, but that’s because of the paint they used on it that’s not because of the hair dye, and It lifted very easily same thing with when I dropped my brush on the floor you couldn’t even tell it was there versus with my box dye oh that’s another story. Thanks Brad!

Works a bit on grays too!
I'm using it on gray hair (not enough gray hair to look cute yet), no other treatment (no bleaching... so I'm not following instructions....). Gets non-gray hair a bit darker, gives gray hair a light blue tint, exactly what I wanted! And I love it! Washes away in 2-3 washes. Easy to apply!

Saved my DIY dye job
I dyed my roots at home where there was a brassy uneven-ness visible. After seeing this on tiktok I bought it and just painted it on left it on for 20 mins. The brassy-ness from my screw up is gonna and it’s even and my hair is vibrant. This is 100x better than artic fox

Excellent stuff
I have been a purple/red haired girl for decades. I used to use a vegan wash out and would bounce between colors but throughout the years, switched over to Henna. I recently did my natural Henna for the red and while it looked pretty as you can see in the before photo, it was, for the first time, super dry like straw. I think maybe I left it in a little too long this time. So.... I found this stuff. let me tell you, it's beautiful. It went in smooth like butter and my hair is currently so soft and silky. I'm really in love with it and hoping it will continue to repair my hair as well as last longer being a semi permanent. I do have waist length hair so I did need to use about half the jar. My greys are a lighter purple and there is red streaks that have been darkened and some not like some didn't take the color as well but it gives it a nice effect. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is this stuff stains everything. My shower looks like a hospital room surgery table and even though I wore gloves to wash it out, it stained my hands and my entire body. I had to shower 3 separate times in a row, scrubbing myself for about a half hour each time and did need to use shampoo to get enough of it out of my hair to run clear. Huge mess. Worth it? Yes. But it is seriously going to stain everything it touches so be super careful how and where you apply and rinse this stuff.

Amazing! Worth it!
The color is beautiful! There was no color stains in my shower when I rinsed it out. It was just like rinsing conditioner out there was no color falling! Even better is it doesn't stink like most dye does

Thanks, but I like Arctic Fox better
I ordered Amethyst as I wanted a cool-toned purple. It was not. I would call it a dark fuchsia pink. It looked mauve in the tub but I wanted to give it a fair try so I went ahead with it anyway. The product did apply easily and it took less than 1/4 of the container to coat my short hair thoroughly. I left it on for about a half hour under a conditioning cap then rinsed in cool water in my laundry tub first (yes it stained it but Clorox cleanup took care of that) then I shampooed it in the shower about four times before it quit releasing dye. The resulting color was quite bright and intense, but not what you’d call purple. My first pic shows how pink it is! Third photo is after one week and many shampoos (it’s hot here rn)My hair is fine and straight, going silver, which I have highlighted so my vivids adhere better, and my color usually lasts four weeks before it fades down to the point where I want to do it again. I don’t baby my color. I don’t wash in ice cold water. I don’t use any styling tools other than a good blow dryer but generally I air dry because I’m too busy to spend a lot of time playing around. I just like to have a fun color. However, I did not find the conditioning part of this product as good as Arctic Fox. I’m also finding that it washes out a lot faster. I normally make a custom mix of Arctic Fox Purple AF and Artic Fox Poseidon Blue to get the cool-toned purple I want, and Amethyst would also need to be mixed with blue to match the color swatch on this page. So I was a little disappointed by that. My second photo is the color I was hoping for. (Edit: my photos seem to have posted out of order)Also I started to feel a bit itchy about twenty minutes in so I probably won’t be able to use the rest of this up. Sorry, Brad Mondo. I don’t think this is the right product for me.

DEF WOULD BUY AGAIN!
Highly pigmented I used the red yesterday and my hair looks like Ariel's hair I love it! Though I recommend not getting it on your scalp it will stain your scalp but overall I love the results!

Didnt work for us but wonderful customer service
The item didnt show any pigment on my kids hair. They have medium brown hair so looking at the pigments that they provide i thought it would work but nope. I did everything the directions said as well. The hair dye smelled amazing but didnt change the color.Edit: customer service was wonderful at correcting the issue! I quite possibly will try this dye again in the future when able to lighten up the hair a bit before applying.
