Well, there comes a time when it's harder to thread a needle because the light is bad, your thread is kind of fat for the eye and / or your eyeballs start to go a bit far sighted. However, exercising the eyes rather than reading glasses is the chosen stubborn course.They are a nice bright green and easy to see thrown into a little sewing kit. They are also little, so you can keep your sewing kit little. I find it easy to get my needle on the hook and once you get down the technique to throw the thread over, it's pretty slick, you can do it more by feel. It's saved me a ton of time and frustration. I have to jiggle a needle with a smaller eye a bit because it's a tight fit with the thread and hook. But, I had about given up using smaller eyed needles altogether because they just frayed the thread.If finer finger dexterity and sensation is a challenge, these smaller fish threaders may be harder to maneuver, in which case something larger to grasp may be more practical. But these fish aren't just fun, they have texture at their gills that helps with holding them.

The fish needle guides are cute, but are very difficult to use as they are tiny and the guide bends easily. It is easier to thread a needle without it.

Doesn't work so well for sewing machines which thread from front to back. Ok for regular sewing needles. Also so tiny. So hard to hold

They are tiny but once you get the hang of them, they do work. There are no instructions with them and the video goes so fast it is hard to be instructed so its trial and error...

I bought these hoping to make threading my sewing machine easier, but it didn't help. They do make threading a needle MUCH easier. They are small and made of plastic, with 10 in a pack. They seem like they will last a long time, providing I don't lose them.

I had my doubts about these, but they do actually work. I had to start using the self threading needles, but still had a terrible time threading my sewing machine needle. Enter this great helper and will,save a lot of frustration! Highly recommended!

This item is useless. It is so tiny, easier to thread a needle than use this. I have vision issues and was looking for something to help with threading a needle. This is no help at all. Yes they do show pictures of the size and I saw it, but did not pay close enough attention to how tiny this little thing actually is.

Item was not suited for my needs ( larger stitching thread ) My bad for not looking more closely….. guessing it would work fine for general light sewing needs.
