Excellent versatile camera with lots of features
This is a great versatile camera. I have a 4 year old 32 Channel NVR that uses the onvif Protocol and 1080P resolution. Several of my original cameras died of old age and that I was using indoor cameras outside. I have tried many replacements but couldn't find a compatible replacement. I saw this model on sale and decided to try it.The setup was very easy through the TAPO app and I was able to use the Advanced setup to create a camera account and password. I was also able to change the resolution to 1080P. My NVR was able to detect the camera and the required port (2020). It connected with no issue. The picture is great even in low light conditions. There are multiple mounting options and the hardware is included. I can access the camera through both the app and my NVR. The motion detector works great even at 35-40 feet. The zoom feature works great through the app. Security is good but degraded slightly because of the local account created for my NVR. The only negative I have found is that the camera's time is off by 20 minutes. I like it so wel;l, that I have purchased a second one.

Exceeds expectations
I now have 20 of these Way over delivered on quality and ease of use. Fun to setup maybe 2 minutes. Easy to navigate on app. Many features for advanced users. You can share cams. The 2k is Very clean. Less signal reliable placements offer 1080 and 720 options. Still good enough for security vids. You will find that the other devices are just as good and the price point is great. Not cloud needed. SD cards can be viewed and managed from the app. R

Amazing Camera
I have to start by saying that I love this camera. This is a small camera that is loaded with options. First off, the base of the camera is magnetic and holds up in many different applications since it is lightweight. Second, the camera has a light that is bright enough to light up a whole room. Third, I have this camera in my shed and the included siren is loud enough to scare off anyone. There is a port to include an SD card, so no subscription needed. Fourth, there is an option to setup a routine to turn on my shed lights. When the camera detects motion it activates my tapo light switch and turns on the lights. I will be buying more.

Great, feature packed, and no subscriptions!
Amazing little camera. Super easy and simple to set up, the included mounting hardware works well, and I really like that it has a magnetic base which makes removal for getting access to the micro SD card or cleaning a breeze. Video quality is excellent (provided you have a strong enough WiFi signal to the camera or it will drop frames). Having it set to record only during “events” the SD card does not have to be big. I have a 64 GB card in the three of these I own, and even the one that faces the street and records whenever it sees a car or a person still has a weeks worth of storage. The starlight or whatever it’s called where it does color in low light is amazing. Around dusk the camera still looks like it’s recording in full sunlight. The night vision is also very good, I can see all the way across the street to the neighbors houses very well, and my alley camera can see almost to the end of the alleyMy first complaint with these cameras is with the line crossing feature. I set them to notify only when a line crossing event is captured in the yard to see if someone comes onto the property, and there is no software functionality to filter out if it’s a person, a shadow, a piece of cotton, anything. Absolutely anything that crosses the line you draw on the screen will trigger a notification. I set up the line crossing so we didn’t have to filter out false alarms and such with people walking by, but we have trees in the front yard and their shadows swaying in the breeze sets off the line crossing notification constantly. The other detection types are very good, even the beta ones, but line crossing is very bare bones. All other detection modes have a sensitivity setting. Motion, for example, can be turned down so it stops picking up moving shadows or tree branches swaying in the breeze. The ability to adjust the sensitivity at minimum would be ideal, or to be able to set it so only when something it detects as a person crosses the line would turn this terrible feature into a powerful feature.Second complaint is the microphones. They are atrocious. Don’t bank on these capturing anything said unless the people talking are right under the camera. This also applies to the C110s as well that I have inside the house. Any sort of breeze is picked up as well. A calm day with the slightest of breezes will sound like the wind was cranking.Other than those two complaints, these are amazing security cameras. They work extremely well, accurately detect vehicles, people, pets, and motion, and they are inexpensive, and possibly most importantly require no subscription service to use. That was the most important part for me was not having to subscribe to anything. With SD cards in all my cameras, I have access to anything that happens around my house. The one drawback I’ve found to not using the cloud service they offer is you cannot download a recorded video to your phone if you are not on the same WiFi network. You can access them on the camera remotely but you can’t download to save forever until you get home.

Fantastic Performance For Price
I wanted a static view inside camera for the garage and having purchased TP-Link products in the past, went for the C120. The price was more than right on a limited time deal. The little camera set up with no issue, formatting the SD card I supplied and coming on line without a hitch.I screwed the mounting plate to the far wall opposite the garage door (oversized double garage) and the magnet on the camera held fine. The view was the entire garage except, of course, the wall it was mounted on. The picture is crisp and detailed, the sound is good (except the feedback when I got too near while playing around with positioning).Since I already had some different Tapo cameras I knew my way around the app, and contrary to what some reviewers have said, there are enough variables in the app to set up multiple situations for multiple cameras to suit most purposes. Especially using the automation in conjunction with the camera settings. What did I expect for this price? Not this much functionality and superior performance. Quite happy.
