Vanuatu Waka Kava Powder - Premium Noble Kava from Vanuatu (16 oz)

This stuff is pretty legit. I had been regularly ordering the Fijian from the same company but gave this a try. The first couple sessions were kind of meh but once my reverse tolerance calibrated to this variety it has been a real pleasure. Initially it seemed 100% heavy but now it feels pretty balanced. I ordered more.

Very relaxing results

I am a kava connoisseur and this kava IS Strong. Personally its too "heady" for my liking but it did have a potent effect. Some people like it but I prefer a more social mellow kava. "Heady" in the kava world refers to a specific kavalactone chemotype that has a more "dopey" effect, not good for any physical activity. Its better for crashing out EOD or any sit down projects IMO... Its a decent value though, compared to other retailers this company gives more powder. For the same price some suppliers bags are half the fill of this one so thats cool. However the grind is still pretty chunky, definitely not a micronized powder whatsoever. In my experience too much of a powder ressembling saw dust can effect the stomach. I didnt get any nausea from this product but I only had about 2 servings for my first try. Just that one "double shot" packed a punch and had a strong effect, so the bag should last. Again, heady kava nots my favorite so I wont reorder but for some they prefer it.

The media could not be loaded. First you don’t drink kava for the taste. It has an earthy/peppery taste and is a muddy color when brewed. This traditional tea is reputed to have relaxing, stress reducing and insomnia reducing properties. It is non-alcoholic. I have found it works for me. I brew it by microwaving a glass jar of water to about 140 degrees with a few tablespoons of whole milk. Then place a mesh bag over the rim and put two heaping tablespoons of the tea powder in the bag and let it seep until cool. I massage the bag to get as much fluid out as possible before placing it in the fridge.

Kava is a great way to relax

I ordered this Wakacon Vanuatu Waka Kava Powder on a lark not realizing the reaction my husband would have regarding it. There were many loud words of displeasure and noises of forbidings and forebodings. He pointed to the liver toxicity warning on the bag. It suggests it is rare but severe. My own internet research of kava had already put the fear of liver toxicity into me. The brewing instructions next to the warning are well written, quite specific and very insistent with references to an online video.When the husband wasn't around, I opened the bag. The kava scent is alluring. My brain tried to place anise among its earthiness. I took a few deeper scent inhales to better identify things. And then my sinuses went crazy. Shortly after my eyes started watering. Well, it is a member of the pepper family. After a while I tried again. Same thing, more sneezing.To avoid the gates of potential allergen hell, liver failure, and quite vocal spousal stink eye, a beverage brewed from this Kava powder has not yet passed my lips.

What i look for in kava, effects. This has a very potent blend of kavalactones that are both stimulating and relaxing!A solid buy!
